Racials don't matter enough for a huge difference so if you have a visual preference go with that.

As far as they go, though, Orcs are very good hunters, the +damage to pets is great for BM, and Blood Fury and Hardiness are pretty good all-around.
Trolls are nice too. +To bow skill is great for hunters, and Berserking, regen and beast slaying are ok too.
Blood Elves I would say have the weakest racials for hunters, though it can be a good way to keep up on mana.

Don't orcs have an axe specialization as well? I mean high end hunters most likely carry axes... Yes, no?!

Stop lying, and admit that you're just too lazy to look for the information yourself. This is one of the most common questions for ANY class, and naturally, it's near the top of the STICKY:

THE FIFTH FREAKING QUESTION FROM THE STICKEY wrote:
What's the best race?

No race is the single best. They all have advantages. First, let it be said that STARTING STATS DO NOT MATTER. Don't pick a Night Elf over a Dwarf because of the difference in starting agility. A Night Elf with 650 agility would have around 643 as a Dwarf. Big deal.

As far as racial attributes go...
Night Elves can go unseen with Shadowmeld, which is useful to hide from an enemy.
Dwarves can cleanse poisons using Stone Form, and are slightly better at using guns.
Draenei have a Heal over time, and increase their party members chance to hit by 1%.
Tauren have extra HP, and can War Stomp to stun targets in close range to help them get back to range.
Orcs have pets that do increased damage, and a minor damage boost every few minutes.
Trolls have a bonus to using bows/thrown weapons, can give themselves a small haste effect every few minutes, and have increased damage against beasts.
Blood Elfs can drain mana from their opponent and then silence nearby opponents to return mana.

All together racial attributes are not that important as you can see. Not one of those is a real must have, so don't chose a race because of their abilities if you can't stand the looks.

It's not like those very very few hits actually matter....

And the best couple of weapons for PvE are polearms.

Troll for the +bow skill, can help with your hit cap and crit%, they also have +damage bonus to beasts which is nice when you're fighting them.

Orcs for the +5% to pet damage, it's small but noticeable.

Neither of these are superior enough to Taurens or Blood Elves to make or break the game, but since they do have advantages that the other two races don't, why not pick one of them?

Yeah, I know... was just pointing it out is all and beyond the sonic spear there isn't another polearm for awhile... but anyways, this perticular subject has been beaten into the ground ...

Back to the OP ; I think all in all it's all about what looks cool isn't it?!
