Hit ratingFollow

I'm running ZA, Gruul's, and Mag on my rogue and was wondering, what kind of hit should I be looking at having. Right now I'm sitting at 212. I'm looking at the new Badge gear and if I were to get thouse it would boost my hit to about 260ish.

If you have 5/5 precision then you need 363 hit rating for your white attacks and 64 for specials. Since white attacks are a significant percent of your DPS, hit rating is one of the most effective ways to raise DPS, and the new badge gear has fairly good stats over all it would most likely be worth it to switch to the new badge gear.

just gem accordingly (8 hit yellow, 4 hit 4 agi red, etc) and it will keep going up as your gear gets better.

You're hit is okay, but definitely keep boosting it up.

The hit rating caps are 363/64 (with Precision) for end-game raid bosses; but you don't "need" them for raiding. Just a clarification. There is a so-called "trash-cap" which I can't remember right now but it's in the mid 200s somewhere and most t4+ raiding groups are looking for that in their combat rogues.

Hit Rating is, indeed, the most efficient way to raise your overall DPS in a well-balance gear set up. But with itemization the way it is, you're not going to get capped without seriously gimping something else. It's the most important and you should definitely gem for it, but remember to keep up AP, Agi, Haste, etc as well. You can basically ignore Stam, enough just comes along with the rest of the gear.

If you're running with 212 hit now and producing 600+ sustained DPS in ZA, you're fine ;)

And the badge gear is really, really good (best pve belt in-game, IMO). Definitely worth shooting for.

Unless you're human, Vasjh' belt is better imo.

Actually, I forgot Slayer's Belt. But, well, needless to say really.

Even non-human combat rogues with shard of contempt will overshoot the expertise cap with the Belt of One-Hundred Deaths. So that's a bit tricky.

As with all gear, it really depends on what else you have equipped. I was just stating an opinion which I should have noted was in the context of my own gear set-up and wish list.

Now, if only I could find a regular raid for t5+ content that needed a rogue.......

.... sigh.
