Our story begins on the Isle of QD. There is a carefree, not often played, mage farming. Said mage is killing blood elf paladins and warlocks with ease, and spies an unsuspecting, flagged rogue at 10% health. Said mage thinks to himself... ah hah! I'ma gonna freeze me a rogue and have a rogue-sicle. The frostbolt flies into thin air as some rogue vanished. Many blades fly around, frost novas and rank 1 blizzards, water elemental freezes occur. In the end, a rogue walks away cleaning frost off his blades.
Some 10 minutes later, said mage finds the rogue again. This time the mage thinks he's gonna pop his water elemental first, freeze and frostbolt combo this rogue. Instead of the normal 8k damage, only 2.5K was done. Many blades fly around, frost novas and rank 1 blizzards, water elemental freezes occur. In the end, a rogue walks away cleaning frost off his blades.
After a really long corpse run, the mage rezzes, only to be promptly killed again. This time, the rogue just ganked the 1/2 health mage.
I was rather amazed, so I went on my lvl 40 (yeah, got a dang mount!) rogue and chatted with the rogue, who said, first and foremost, that my mage's gear was crap. Then we chatted a bit, and he said how he salivates when he sees a mage, and even has 2 good mage friends that he duels and pwned, "because shadowstep is so OP".
Wow... I can't wait to get me rogue up to 70. Only 30 levels to go.
