OK I got my hunter to 70 recently and its my first toon to 70 as well so I dont really know how to go about getting myself geared up.

here is my armory link. ( I hope it works) Here[link=http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Doomhammer&n=Gipsey]

This is my first post so please forgive me if that armory doesnt work.

I know my gear is terribly sub-par and the spec is something I threw together yesterday when I decided to go MM for PVP but any comments on both are very welcome.

TY in advance

Well, assuming youre gonna pvp, I'd get the rep-pvp items first. Then start doing bg's and arena's to get good pvp-gear. That's it basically.

There is a stickey at the top of this forum for pre raid gear. It was written by Aethien. It has a great gear list and should be exactly what you are looking for if you decide you want to do any pve/raiding.

Well before anyone can really give you any more specific information. It would be a lot nicer if you would casually tell us what you plan on doing with your toon. Raid or do PvP. From there we can give you more advice, but right off the bat without any info I can point you in the right general direction. As was said before I would check out Aethien's Pre-Raid Guide. It is great and well rounded, as well as being user friendly.

Can't really go wrong with just que'ing up for as many bg's as possible to grind out honor for some gear. Get a friend and lose 10 games a week to get started on banking arena points. Check out arena-junkies.com for good info on spec's and strats, macros, what not.

Not really that much to it. Run some instances for rep/gear. Get into heroics/kara when you upgrade all your greens and weak blues. Save up those badges, the dead parrot is probably gonna be your single best upgrade.

Its all about progressing, building up and getting better. If you have something more specific in mind, go ahead and lay it out for us. As a new 70 its hard to go wrong as there are tons of upgrades available to you from a variety of sources.

Unless you are doing arena specifically, I'd go with a BM spec. You should get your rep up and start hitting up heroics looking for specific gear items.(the rep is easy to get) You can also do some PvP in between to get a few pieces like belt, boots and, bracers that will do fairly well in PvP or PvE.

I allways try to get at least 2k. honor a day (giving play time available) allways taking advantage of the bonus honor weekends and daily PvP quests aswell.

I would suggest you get in as manny runs as possible it's good practice for working together with a group wich will become essential for raiding.

Okay great, thank you all very much for your replies. So I figure I'm going to grind out some BG's to get some gear upgrades while my guild gets ready for Kara.

Here is my next question. After looking at my gear Im thinking one of my weakest spots is the boots. Its so hard to find good boots it seems (any easy solutions?) So I feel compeled to get the pvp boots with 40 "eye of the storm" marks (which I have) but I would really like the PVP crossbow. What do you think? The crossbow whould be sweet but the boots are my weakest spot.

As far a specing BM....I leveled BM and I love BM but my DPS really went up in the BG as MM so im gonna stick with that I think.

Any thoughts? I know my original post didnt give you much info to go on (probably this one isnt much better :oP)but the basic idea is to increase my DPS by alot, it seems so low to me. Having spent a couple years on a PVP server I am a self admitted DPS ***** and I guess I wont be happy untill I can drop a rogue before he/she can close in on me.
