In 2v2, agaisnt a warlock, i just cant beat them.

I stay stealthed, pop out and try and cyclone him. It either gets resisted or is trinketed out. I get deathcoiled, then feared. Whenever i trinket out or the fear ends, i get spell locked and then feared again.

How do i am beat them? i am resto with 290 resilience.

Stay out of LOS and keep your partner alive long enough to kill him?

Strategy changes depending on the lock's partner and your own, which class do you usually pair up with?

You don't is short answer. It really hard to beat lock if you are not deep in feral where you get 15% resist to fears & even then it not a given. I not sure what other class team up but want team up & kill lock as fast as possilbe. Hopefully you are team up with rogue good again locks.

I always try to down to lock first when I come across them. In the arena, I just try to open up with Pounce,Mangle,Main, go in bear and bash, back to cat and hopefully monster crit mangle for the kill.

Keep in mind, this only works of you cross you fingers while in combat.

As Feral:
Open up with pounce, FF, mangle, shred, maim, shred, run and get distance while shifting into bear, feral charge, mangle, bash, shift to cat, shred, maim... then do what you need to do to finish them off. It's a pretty good stunlock pattern given that none of your stuns miss or are resisted. Use a pvp trinket if you need to, but the biggest downfall is a failed stun. An sl/sl lock would be the hardest to down but this is still your best bet.

As Balance:
Most of my experience is against sl/sl or felguard locks as those are the most common pvp specs. Either case, I kite the pet around in travel form while dotting with moonfire and IS, occasionally throw in a wrath or two. You kite in travel form so that the lock can't drain you. Once the pet is dead, you can kite the lock in travel form the same way. With no heals and no pet to take the dmg, they'll go down fast with dots on them. Sometimes they'll resummon the pet at the cost of a soulshard and you gotta do it all over again, but they typically can only do this once in a single fight.

Well make sure you trinket out of the fear not the death coil. What is your partner by the way. If your partner has a different form of CC then cyclone have him use that right after he trinkets.

If your partnered with a lock make sure you force him to use trinket on cyclone since you can still damage him if fear is on.

Hope that helps.

My partner is an arms/fury warrior.

It doesn't really matter who the partner is. I have tried the killing the pet technique but i swear those felpuppys have millions of health.

The LoS works, but its not allways possible =[

Thanks for the replies.

Hmmm... I do 2v2 arena as a resto druid but only in the rankings where PVE armor is better than PVP ("JUST OUT MANA, OUT HEALED YA ******!!!"). And even then I have issues with locks.

In DUELS on the other hand, so long as they aren't using the fel hound it's not impossible. ToL to preserve mana and make those HoTs while feared really count. Eventually, if your healing is good enough, they'll start to get low on mana. If they're clever they'll mana drain you. If they're not they'll use that consume life thing, to which you just spam wrath, moonfire and insect swarm.

It's hard, takes aaaages but if it works you win and the masters of DoTs have the humiliation of being beaten by a healing class at their own game.

If there is no healer left on their team then have your warrior try to pummel him during his fear this will give you some time to DPS him down. The main thing is to make sure that the other teams healer doesn't get any heals off and the lock doesn't get any fears off.

If your warrior does use pummel on the lock you will have to cyclone the healer to prevent any heals.

Hope that helps.
