he there all!
well, my friend druid and i reached 2k the other week and we were gonna sit on it so i could get my shoulders. I dont have another good team (3v3 or 5v5) so we just played more 2s. We got to 2054 pretty easily, but then ran into a string of shammy/wars. We have yet to beat a good sham/war team in the higher rankings. Some teams have weak wars or weak shammies. But last night, man oh man they were both good lol.
*keep in mind, im undergeared* (we play well together though)
my question is, is there a strategy or secret to beating this setup?
My druid is NOT dreamstate just for the fact that he can burst heal. Should he switch and help dps? i heard that switching back and forth is a way to go, but if i switch to war, he gets chain healed, while my druid gets shocked, then i get pwned by war after evasion. Im just so confused haha. any help or tips would be greatly appreciated! thanks

my rogue is folkinator on bloodscalp

*and dont laugh at my legs haha... i was saving up, but we hit 1850 so i got wep, then we hit 2k so i wanna get shoulders hahah*

Beating War/Sham and Druid/Rogue is tough.

The warrior will probably go for you.

Your Druid has to CC the warrior while you unload onto the Shaman. Having the Druid double-DoT the Shaman will help a bit. While it's hard with Earth Shield going, you have to hit the Shaman hard enough to force him to blow NS. If you're lucky, you can also get him to trinket out of your Kidney Shot.

As soon as he blows NS, switch CC to the Shaman and try to blow up the Warrior. The Shaman show be free of DRs, and maybe without his trinket, so you should be able to get a good Blind -> Cyclone off for at least 5-6 seconds out of action during which you should be able to get the warrior pretty low. For the final push, I use a Shadowstep->Kick macro to stop the Shaman one last time and, if RNG goes your way, you can kill the Warrior.

That all sounds good on paper but good luck getting it to work in reality. On top of all else, you have to survive heroism/bloodlust. Not fun, IMO.

yea this is a frustrating and long fight everytime we do it. but this strat seems like a good one and ill def try it out. waiting for ns is smart so we can try to burst down the other guy. when should or shouldnt my druid dps with me? or should he just save mana?

thanks again for the help!

This comp would actually be much easier if your druid was restokin playing very offensively on the warrior with you playing very defensively on the shaman.

It's generally considered very hard to get a sap on a shaman, but as your druid deals damage to the warrior, the shaman is going to come out of Ghost Wolf to heal. That's when you land a sap. Then you can proceed to the warrior and DPS, making sure to knock out any WF or grounding totems.

I'd really suggest looking at Deep 6 on WCM, since Deep is one of the people that my brother (one of ~50 2k rated ferals in the US) looks up to. He's got a section on dreamstate (restokin) spec, and a very good part about how to handle warrior/shaman, even if it's in his feral/rogue part of the video.

Basically to get a clean game, you're going to have to sap the shaman, get on the warrior so the shaman can burn NS, then go back to the shaman for interrupts. You can cyclone the shaman if you really want, but I found that a Blind + Sap (you'll be gouging/KSing/kicking so many heals that the shaman will trinket one of them to land a heal while they're on cooldown) will work much better than a Cyclone will, as it promotes more damage from your druid on the warrior.

Edit: and I really can't think of that many reasons for your druid to stay 11/11/39 if that's what he's specced. Swiftmend is good, but IMO it's not as good as more damage.
