Why I love being a PallyFollow

We were doing Brutallus tonight, we just downed him for the first time last week.

We were missing some main DPS and had wiped at 2%. The next attempt was going smooth, have have the 3 Holy paladins staggering FoL since Brutallus hits very fast. Tanks are staying up, raid heals are solid, burn is a non issue but we are right on the dps line.

Have to remember Brutallus has 10,500,000 HP, and a 6 min Enrage timer. So 29,167 Damage Per Second raid wide over 6 min. Basically you want each dps pushing 1600 dps min, with main dps doing 2k. Also good to point out that when Brutallus enrages, he wipes raids, his meteor slash aoe will hit for 15k on plate and take out your entire raid in mere seconds.

Well we get to 1 min timer and heroisms are going, trinkets are popped, cooldowns are burned and its going to be tight. Each second it becomes more and more obvious that we are going to be shy of a kill again. 4 seconds from a kill 1% left. I bubble, taunt, turn boss 90 degrees so his aoe is hitting no one and cast fricking Holyshock, Exorcism, Hammer of Wrath. 6 seconds bought, he turns off me and just as he does he dies.

Now we have the rest of the week on Felmyst!

Gratz!! Sounds like one of those "you wouldn't believe it but this one time..." stories.

I've done this on Gruuls, except entire raid died, it was only me and 1 other holy pally, he bubbles/ taunts, does his thing then died, i bubble, taunt throw everything ive got and right at the end of the 12 secs the beast lay dead at my feet. lol /flex the holy pally who solo'd Gruul, or at least the last 10k hp he had left :)

Not as cool as Brutallus but... still a good time.

It was a while ago lol I dont remember specifics, Bod brought up the topic and I just remembered the event. i was holy at the time and didnt understand a lick of pally tanking.
