Healing addon helpFollow

Hello, I'm looking to get an addon that will show people in my healing area that are losing health, so I can heal them, like an emergency monitor. I'd like to not have to find them in my party lists too if possible, just click their name in the "help me!" list, and heal.

I'm an addon n00b, and I have none atm. I looked at Grid, but there were hundreds of options it seemed, and Healbot looks like it needs Titan? Is there one like what I'm looking for, any help would be great, thanks!

There are a few people in my guild that use healbot and not titan, so I can say the healbot works just fine with out titan. And from what I see healers say healbot is one of the best makes healing EZmode.

I am a tank so I can not speak from experience.

yea...healbot is incredible, especially for what your describing. it shows all members of the raid, and when they are at full health, they are a nice lucious green. when they drop in health, they get yellow, orange, then red, and all you have to do is click on their name bar to heal them. EZmode

Another nice thing about Healbot is the bar representing a raid member will light up when they have aggro. This is incredibly useful for telling off the overzealous Hunter its time to feign death because he "forgot" to download Omen.

Grid + Clique

Grid puts your raid in small squares with notable debuffs in the center of their squares and their health is their background color.

Clique allows you to assign spells to your mouse buttons, allowing you to bind say Ctrl-Left Click to Flash of Light, and you can click a raid frame (like the ones in grid) to cast the spell on that target.

Trust me, and I'm sure bodh is going to come to back me up on that. (Well, he is the one touting it usually, so more like I'm backing him up)

I currently use that setup for healing, and it's as simple as clicking squares trying to keep the little bars up and clean. Take a better look at grid, don't be deterred by options. If you take a bit of time to try and understand them, you will be amazed at how flexible it is.

Any time you are looking at trying to mess with addons, you are going to be devoting time to learning and understanding them.

Oh and I believe the problem with healbot (at least for bodh) was that it automatically downranks spells, and while that sounds great, it actually made things worse when he knew that a big hit was coming in and healbot was throwing out a down-ranked spell.

With healbot you can set it up to have different ranks of spells on different buttons, in combination with SHIFT, ALT, and CTRL. I never had a problem with it downranking a spell of its own volition.

Healbot has a smart casting option which chooses which rank of heal to cast. I generally switch this off cos I'm smarter :p

For the OP, Healbot can be configured to only show the people needing heals although showing the whole raid would be beneficial for seeing debuffs, aggro and whatnot.

Can't really comment on Glid/Clique since I haven't really used it extensively.
