Furor is looking good right now...Follow

Currently my druid is level 30. While I am just about full feral with her, I had initially at level 10 put one point in furor. What's happening is that I find myself shifting often enough that I can see where having some energy or rage right off is very helpful.

While I had been hoping to start putting points into either Feral faerie fire (for the ability to pull while in animal form) or savage fury I am wondering if I am better off with filling out the full five points in Furor, and then going for those other nice talents in the feral tree..or will I be gimping myself?

Here is my current build:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druid/talents.html?tal=00000000000000000000050311213022000000000001000000000000000000

Suggestions and feedback for this noob bear/kitty would be greatly appreciated.

*edit* I have looked though some other threads regarding the subject, but without a premium account I don't have a search function available to me. I hope it's ok to start a thread about this topic, mostly because I am looking for feedback regarding my specific talent sheet. Thanks.

I found that 5/5 Furor made my life a lot easier at the lower levels. Especially in a PVP server for the chance to shift to bear and Charge to buy some time, or whatever. I then respecced at 50 for Mangle, and since I spent so much more time in Cat using mangle, I didn't find myself at too much of a disadvantage not having Furor. I put my next 5 points into it as soon as I could though.

There is Wolfshead Helm, made by a LW at level 40 you can acquire to fill the gap, if you find yourself energy/rage starved. I used it just for the comfort of having it when I shifted.

Hope it helps.

Definatly take it, it's one of the handiest talents Ferals have.

Respeccing at 40 or 50 for LOTP or Mangle is another good idea. If not for LoTP at 40 then DEFINATLY at 50 for mangle. That talent is beyond excellant.

Furor rocks. Improved Leader of the Pack is pure sex.

Mangle is an everlasting ******.

Furor 5/5 can lead to some nice new and ingenious tactics later on in the game. I use the rage/energy gain of it quite often in all situations, knowing when to switch to one form or another can save a group from a wipe or make the difference in a key battleground encounter (in theory). Switching to bear for that instant access to Bash or a chance to run a target down with Feral Charge as well as going to cat for a quick Mangle or the need to escape with Dash. As long as you're 3/3 on the resto talent to reduce the mana cost of shapeshifting it shouldn't be quite as draining (yea it IS draining of course but a little less so with that particular talent maxed).

Get Furor maxed out, it is an awesome talent.

Thank you everyone for the replies. So, my next 4 points will be going to max out Furor and then the next points in natural shape shifter too. I have been considering spending some time in BGs with this character at 39 since I have done so few on my priest, so the aforementioned talents should work very well with that.

Although Mazra presents some intriguing reasons to stay feral (*lol*) I'm considering going with a Balance/Dreamstate-Restokin type build at say...level 49ish. If it doesn't work out well for me then I shall definitely go for the sexy feral build.

(Does that last statement just seem wrong? :P )

Only wrong in the fact that your thinking of abandoning Feral.

Sexual innuendos are a fact of life here at alla

You're right. "Rocks" doesn't fit there. To match the vulgar tone, the word would have to be "Blows," but then I'd be lying.

I've never been an adjective before, though. Sounds like fun. Miskreant, you should definitely walk the furry path, if only for a while. It might not catch your interest, but at least you'll know how Feral Druids think, react and, uh... dammit, I hate it when I need three verbs and can't think of a third.

Well, I am definitely leveling right now as feral and it really is quite fun...I guess my preferred playstyle is that of a caster. It is where I feel I do best, but TBH I suspect my hesitations with feral might be due to just needing to adapt to a different way of doing things.

From what everyone has been saying, Mangle is something not to be missed so I think it is worth giving it a shot. Seems too smexy to miss out on! :D

Thanks again folks.
