O boards:

This is not a buff, it is a bug fix.

Before the patch, if you had SotCrusader on, your Crusader strike would do 40% less damage, now, if you have it on, it does normal damage.

i never noticed this. anyone confirm?

meh, another poorly designed paladin ability to go with AW, Judgements, and the Ret tree.

also in the patch: "After Ice Block, mages get a Hypothermia debuff, preventing them from Ice Blocking again. Debuff also prevents use of Icy Veins. Wait, no. Only paladins shall receive a major debuff after using an ability."

I played a pally back when you could bubble yourself, then BoP yourself immediatly after as well and yes.. it was OP.

I agree about Wings though. At least in that you get stuck with a major debuff for it. I don't find it poorly designed from a TANKING perpective. It's PERFECT in that respect (except for the debuff) but as a damage booster for ret I understand where it drops the ball.

Honestly, I can't see how being locked out of Ice Block and Icy Veins compares to getting locked out of bubbling if you blow Wings. Still...

or more common would be the other way: icy veins(hypothermia)->pull aggro->debuff(no ice block)->dead

that was like Ret pally pre-2.3(?). AW used to be an auto-death button. now its more of a use-at-the-end-of-boss-fight button, but by then who gives a ****. and pvp its useless unless bubbles are on CD.

side peave: i went to go JoJ a druid FC in WSG. i was mounted off the GY and rode on top of him, popped SoJ but he got out of range of my judgement during the GCD. normally i would just stun + JoJ, but i thought i'd save for an interrupt. he capped. judgements are garbage in pvp! on mage i can rank 1 frostbolt him 5 times and FN 3 times before he's out of range. /end rant

improved AW talent would be nice.
Lengthen Duration by 25/50%---------30 sec total
Reduce Debuff Duration by 25/50%---30 sec
Resist CC/snare Effects by 25/50%---so its actually effective when you become the becon of "kill me now"

Edit: maybe even reduce the CD a bit, but then that would make it kinda overpowered. i would really like it if AW was Rets Bread and Butter buff. those wings just look so damn cool but you sacrifice too much to actually use em.

I like those ideas..

AW would still be available in its unaltered form for tanking use, as it's very important to us, but to a Ret it would almost be like a whole different ability granting damage and increased survivability.

If the talent were far enough up the ret tree I could understand if it completely removed the Forebearance effect entirely from Wings or limited it to the duration of Wings (so you couldn't blow both at the same time).

Lol... Now, now. Don't go overboard. Getting one HoJ on a Shaman/Druid/Hunter does do the job of five Rank 1 Frostbolts. I understand your frustration, but Judgements are still quite nice in PvP.
