PvP
Powerful Earthstorm Diamond (PED) seems pretty good for any pvping stam and stun resist can't be bad, yeah?
Chaotic Skyfire Diamond(CSD) maybe? lotsa crit and increased crit damage. a lot of our damage are from crits
Destructive Skyfire Diamond(DSD) more crit chance. wouldn't rely on the spell reflect though.
Imbued Unstable Diamond(IUD) same as the PED, but spell damage instead of stam. still i think i'd take the PED over this for pvp.
Mystical Skyfire Diamond(MSD) A little shaky on how it works, as Blizzard keeps changing it. faster casts certainly sounds nice. and it procs off of any spell cast or totem drop. and the blue related gems it requires seem to nice for us shaman, since we can be high priority targets in pvp.
Insightful Earthstorm Diamond(IED) 12 int seems nice. a 5& chance to restore 300 mana, seems a little small, but assuming casts
every 5 seconds -> 12 casts/minute -> 180 mana/minute -> 15mp5 every 3 seconds -> 20 casts/minute -> 300 mana/minute -> 25mp5 every 2 seconds -> 30 casts/minute -> 450 mana/minute -> 37.5mp5 every 1.5 seconds -> 40 casts/minute -> 600 mana/minute -> 50mp5
(above from wowhead.com) granted that it may not proc at all during any of those. Now, I don't usually run out of mana in battle grounds (usually die before that occurs) but it does happen. And I do empty out in the arena on a regular basis. whatever.
PvE
CSD again, for the same reasons.
DSD ditto, though lower crit than the CSD, and the spell relfect seems even less useful here.
Ember Skyfire Diamond(ESD) more spell damage is nice. the +2% int doesn't beat out the 12 from the IED until you hit 650 int (ties at 600) I'm in early epics and blues, and still decently far from 650 int.
MSD faster casts, yeah yeah. i hear that it's not just nerfed but harder to use than it used to be. you might just miss it if you arent paying attention. anyone with experience?
IED int and chance mana on cast seems pretty good for boss fights.

MSD faster healz, yeah, could be good.
Bracing Earthstorm Diamond(BED) the only healing stat'd meta. its secondary is useless in pvp though.
PED stam n stun resist, yeah, nice
IED healing class with the worst mana troubles? int and mana returns.
CSD I just finished my healing set, but havent tried it yet. are crit heals to be desired for shaman? or in pvp? i can see how they could be great in pvp, but not sure.
DSD same questions as CSD

BED only heal stats. but is 2% threat reduction really that helpful?
IED int for mana pool, chance to restore mana, may mean the difference between life and death for your tank...
MSD faster spell cast, could save a life...
So, any thoughts? Experience? Does it just come down to personal preference?
