PvP resto gear questionFollow

Pick two:
Signet of Eternal Life / Blessed Band of Karabor / Band of the Eternal Restorer

Along the same lines is Totem of the Third Wind worth grinding for?

In other words, how much +healing is okay to sacrifice for survival? I was under the impression to go gung-ho for resilience, but that puts me at about 500 less healing than my PvE gear. Should I grind for the honor ring?

Thanks in advance. I'm trying to get back into PvP deathmatches so I need to catch up on PvP gear. The problem is that my PvE gear is pretty good, so I'm not sure what to sacrifice. Is there a magic number for resilience I should shoot for?

The last two if you have to pick between those three, unless of course you find yourself dying way, way too fast, in which case drop one of them for the first one.

It can be, but largely depends on what you're using now and/or what you have access to. I'm still using Totem of the Thunderhead since mana efficiency vs. other healers in 2v2 tends to be a bigger issue for me than getting crit to death. (And in cases where I do get crit to death it wouldn't help one bit. Against Rogue/Mage, for example.)

You can always expect to have substantially less +healing in your PvP gear than your PvE gear, but you still shouldn't neglect it. You are a healer, and bigger is always better. Survival is worthless without good healing, and there's no point in surviving if you can't heal well. (And for Shaman, since we can't do anything but heal through, survival and healing tend to be one and the same.) And yes, you should definitely grind both honor rings.

Not really. Just understand where it is on your list of desireable stats and prioritize accordingly. I recommend you do a little research on Arena Junkies. Lots of good reference and resource material on that site.

Can you link an arena Resto build? Mainly 2's and 3's. Just curious to see what a viable one would be so I can revamp mine..thanks in advance.

Pretty standard PvP Resto spec. Some people switch it up and sub-spec in Elemental for reduced Fire, Nature and Frost damage though, keep that in mind.

Er... no Totemic Mastery or Healing Grace? Take four points out of Tidal Mastery, throw them into Totem Mastery and Healing Grace and you've got yourself a Resto tree. Also, you can't block when you're casting, so Shield Specialization is beyond pointless. Sucks as it does, take Ancestral Knowledge. Trust me, you'll need every drop of mana you can squeeze out.

Anyways, that sums up the 0/9/52 build. The people who PvP sub-specced in Elemental with the 8/0/53 build tend to be those raiders who are too cheap and/or lazy to respec. The other really viable option is 0/20/41, which I have seen a lot of high-rated Resto Shaman sporting in the arena. However, personally, I don't like it.

I have to agree with guadion Healing grace affects our Earthen Shield and Ghost Wolf so it helps keep those up (unless your against another shaman that will spam purge you). Totemic mastery also helps since it gives you an extra 10 yards on cleanse poison, grounding totem, and wf which is a big help to you and your party members.

and ya shield spec sucks 0/9/52 is way to go for pvp, 8/0/53 is for pve.
