So I looked at both of these guns. While the proc on Don Santos' Famous Hunting Rifle apears the obvious choice. I don't know if it would beat out the Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer for below reason.

I was thinking that the Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer
would add the extra gem slot I need so I can put Relentless Earthstorm Diamond in my helm and have enough regular gems to activate it. Let me try to find the links for them.

P.S.
I need a new range weapon bad... It is a sad day when my Warrior is wielding a better weapon than my hunter (in the range aspect) Though my hunter has a melee weapon that is far superior to what my warrior has in the way of 2h weaps. =S I guess I am all *** backwards there...

(Edit)
Dur... Dummy you already have 7 gem slots... /facepalm

-EDIT 2- I ended up taking the Destroyer only because of the large price difference. Did not feel 1k gold extra was worth this very small difference specially for an item that gives nothing out of hand except for waiting on a proc.

If you already have the gem slots, Don Santos all the way.

Even if you didn't have the gem slots, I'd probably still say Don Santos, because of the speed and the proc, but not knowing anything about your spec or gear, no one can say. If you're BM with no haste gear, Don Santos! If not, I can't say, but the Gyro is generally not worth the investment for a hunter.

As for gem slots, you only need 3: orange, purple and green gems count as BOTH red/yellow, red/blue, yellow/blue (respectively). So don't waste 4 slots on blue and yellow gems when you only need to use 2 slots for those (or preferably use a combination of four orange and purple gems, since green gems aren't as good).

I am in mostly PvP gear... actually in the armory I am in all PvP armor... with PvE rings trinkets and cape and what not.

I am actually gonna grind up the honor for the last 2 glad pieces I need just because I hate how this stupid beastlord wanna be items look with s1 gear.

Oh well.

Yeah I was thinking the Don' Santos but I wasn't sure... I also need to see about cost effectiveness of the 2 as I have first dibs on either wolfslayer or sunfury bow if it drops and I don't want to funnel a whole bunch of money into a new weap only to replace it right after I get it. (hoping it drops)

What? Get the badge crossbow? Don santos' is far better the the Gyro, but is so far below the badge crossbow that it's not worth it. If you're stuck, get the one off attumen and farm badges, it doesn't take that long. It's certainly not worth spending the gold both those weapons cost.

It'd be far easier to just regem your gear. I'm assuming you have the agi/crit metagem. so get two greens and the rest red and there you go. you only need 4 slots to satisy that requirement.

Don't use a tanking weapon, it makes a kitten die every time a hunter does.

the engineering weapon really isnt bad for hunters.
Especially for pvp.

Aside from that, go get the technicolour chicken corpse.
Doesnt matter how long it takes just get it, you wont be able to replace it until WotLK.
(unless you get really lucky and get either a good amount of haste + a 3.0 speed bow from MH/BT/SWP without sacrificing stats or if you get the legendary)

edit: you also only need 4 sockets for the meta gem.

Living Ruby, if you are saving your BoJ for something. Crimson Spinel if you've got all the BoJ gear already or if your Guild hands them out.

Not that this post is relevant to the OP (since he got the Destroyer anyway)...

I like the Glinting Noble Topaz/Shifting Nightseye mix for the socket bonus.

Great for raiding and PvP

Yeah I tried to get the Don Santo's but the asshats on my server want something like 2k or more for that PoS. =S

I was able to get the mats for the Destroyer for 900g. I did look for the other one first. Thanks for the advice.

Oh and the badge xbow is a little out of my reach for now =( I get something like 2 badges a week through dailys and I have been playing alot on my warrior because my guild has asked me to be a tank for them for Kara. =(

Oh well at least I will have fun in PvP with my hunter. =D

-EDIT-

I had to rob all my alts to get the weapon... and I ended the day with a grand total of 80g after I did all my dailys. (thats on all my toons. =|)

If I had the money I would have prolly got the Don Santos gun.
