Just dinged lvl 10 on my lock and i was just wondering where i should start to put my points into. I know I want something to do with affliction because i heard its the best to level with. Just need to know where to put the points in the tree.

Thanks

Starting with imp. corruption is a good start so that u have 2 instant dots....then just go down aff tree from there....i like demonology better but to me demon gets better once u get closer to felguard.....start with aff and then just switch later to whatever u like

Instant Corruption is so damn good... First 5 points for any build IMO.

Ok...Also I was talking to a 70 lock and he said he leveled as destro and really liked it. I then replied saying that I heard affliction was the best and easiest way to level. He said that Destro was very fast and more importantly, fun. So is destro an option to spec into?

I am a 42 lock spec destro and really like it, i have got quite far down the tree and found that my improved immolate does a lot of damage, espcially when its crits ( quite often). Tis my opinon but i think when i hit 50 i will spec demon, not sure yet.

Affliction is known as probably the fastest spec to level as, but both Aff and Dest are viable. Heck, I leveled as Demo (which I suggest you not do, at least not until you hit 50, it's like level protection warrior...which I'm also doing...I'm a *********, I swear.)

But most important, go with whatever you have the most fun doing.

Ok. I think destro seems the most fun to me. But maybe If i did 5/5 imp corruption and then went into the destro tree?

There is no "better" or "worse" way to level. Only what you enjoy playing more. The real question most people are asking is what is the most efficient leveling build, which has proven to be affliction. Play styles vary, so do what ya like.

And nearly all leveling builds regardless of focus will have 7 points in affliction for instant corruption and improved life-tap. Again, for efficiency.

Affliction has the least down time of the specs while you are leveling, once you get used to it you will be able to move from mob to mob to mob without stopping except for the occasional consume shadows for your voidy to save on your health.
