Seriously, druid, if you want to do arenas.
I leveled up with a priest and it was perfect. We are doing arenas and I gues I'm lucky to have a priest with me. But I guess we both agree it would be easier if he had a druid, which are insanely versatile.

I would strongly disagree. Druids and rogues do not synergize well, and if you find a team capable of taking out your druid, then your team
will lose.
Rogue/druid is actually one of the weaker 2v2 comps IMO. Rogue/priest is actually much stronger because of the way the two classes synergize.
Either way, this thread is about leveling, not arena. I would honestly say that a mage would be the best-suited to questing and leveling with a rogue, second would probably be a shaman or a druid.
Keep in mind that most mages level as frost past level 30, so with the snare effect of frostbolt plus shatters, you'd have some pretty insane damage, plus the CC that rogues and mages have.
Reason shaman is second is because a) totems are incredibly powerful in a combat rogue's hands, and b) minor healing, and good survivability in grinding content.
Druid is third because druids and rogues are basically the same thing grinding, druids basically just have HoTs, and they're slow as hell to level until 20.
That and if you roll Horde, you'll both want to be undead, and if you roll Alliance you'll both want to be human.
