The last thread I made was about talents, and now I`m seeking help in another department. I`m currently lvl 15, going to be 16 soon. I have 4 quests which are in dungeons. So i`m going to need to party up soon. I`m new to the game, but not new to tanking. I was a good tank in FF11 and I have a couple of tanking questions.

When I group up to do these dungeon quests, my main goal is to keep the enemy focused on me. In FF11, actions you did on the mob was called emnity/hate. Is threat the same as that? To keep solid hate on myself, should I spam heroic strike and thunderclap seeing as the description for that says it generates high amounts of threat? (if threat = hate)

Also, I`ve been doing every quest I`ve come across so far and I plan to continue doing that. Would I be able to do the instances in my quest log now during any lvl or is there a maximum lvl for each dungeon?

And lastly, my health right now is 429 with gear. I`m a tauren btw. Is that high, low or average for my level? To me it seems a bit low, but I really don't know much about the game right now. My gear also doesn't seem up to par as other people near my lvl. All the gear i have now is from quests and mob drops, but I`ve seen a 15 warrior with a 400+ armor shield and mine is only 200ish. And people of other jobs at my lvl have gear with multiple stat increases, where as mine either has 0 or 1 stat bonuses.

Threat is what you call hate and you should always tank in deffensive stance do the quest if you have not yet it requires lvl ten

now gear wise im guessing your talking about tanking Ragefire Chasm since Wailing Caverns is lvl 20 well my suggestion to you is try for a little more armor check out the AH for just a little bit better gear never pay more than 50 silver for anything off the ah at your lvl as it will be replaced very fast go for gear with stamina and strength at that level

Use skills like Sunder Armor (idk if you have it at lvl 15) but use it 5 times on each mob you tank when you start a fight use 3 on your first target then put one on everything else you are tanking this is our main way to maintain aggro(make them attack us)over everything never start off the fight though with 5 sunders on the same target always just go for 3 then hit the others with it 1-2 times each so the healer will not take aggro and die healer dies you die :)

if you got any questions otherwise repost ill check ya again :)
