We are probably going to hitting Vash on Wed night. We are discussing having one us (three mages) spec frost to help slow down the striders and elementals. The one question is are the elementals immune to frost?

Don't remember, but don't worry about slowing them. Frost mages should be on the striders. The elementals go slowly enough that your hunters/DoT classes should be able to handle them.

At least, that's what ours did.

I can't tell you for sure if they are immune, I would guess that the non-poison ones are. I was always on elementals and as a fire mage. As far as I know nothing you can do to slow down the elmentals, they move at the same pace no matter what.

And what Pold said, if you are a frost mage (and grats to you for getting to Vashj as frost...) stick on the strider, although you may not want frostbite as it is unpredictable and if someone is close they will be one-shotted.

I'm also pretty sure there immune frost, i cant remember if i assumed they were or not. But i never bothered with bolt, i'd just fireblast or scorch stray elementals. Frost on striders is pretty handy. Though i didn't respec out of my frost build to drop frostbite. Some of our kiters didn't like it, others did. I would recommend dropping frostbite and puttin the points in permafrost. If your going to spec specificly for vashj.
Good luck.
