servers are down, bored at work, and looking to start a discussion. :P

As a tank, which trinkets do you use more often?
I'm a trinket *****, i have about 5 or 6 in my bags at all times. I have talked to warriors that use full time stam trinkets, but that seems like such a waste of utility in my opinion.

Personally I mix a the Vengeance Darkmoon card and my pocket watch full time.
i'm main tank, and i rarely unequip the pocket watch... I'll swap in my Autoblocker from time to time or my DPS trinkets just to play around on farm content.

...but for boss fights like Tidewalker, does anyone recommend anything other then the Darkmoon card? I use an avoidance set for the most part for that fight so is it worth it to loose that stam and try to get more avoidance out of that 2nd trinket slot?

The scarab dropped off Hydross last week but i passed it to our off tank that was hurting for trinkets (sort of regret that now :P) (he's the most unlucky guy ever, the pocketwatch NEVER dropped for him off moroes after countless kills)

Absolutely depends on the boss, however for farm content I would go stam & pocket watch. The pocket watch gives you another oh crap button to use when the healers are either low in health (i.e should heal themselves) and otherwise occupied. The trinket off the third boss on MgT is absolutly amazing and gives stam & a nice dodge boost when you go below 35%.

I only carry 3 trinkets for my prot set at a time:

Shadowmoon Insignia
Commendation Of Kael'thas
Darkmoon Card Vengeance

For Bosses that hit hard and fast, I use Insignia.

For everything else I use 2 stamina trinkets for max effective health.

Also depends on your gear, if you lack in defense/avoidance then you will most likely always have to use 2 avoidance/defense trinkets.

The Black temple stuff isnt accessible to me at the moment.
well, it is if we want to get soundly Pwned!!

hMgT: i juts have not had time to run it with my guilds current raiding schedule vs my real life schedule. I've run it regular once, to get attuned to heroic mode, but thats about it. I just finished grinding all the cash / herbs i need to sustain myself for a bit, so hopefully i can start running it.

shouldn't you, by definition, have a more threat-oriented set on for farm content?

yea i agree, lately i've been using my Autoblocker and a DPS trinket in SSC for trash clears.
lets my DPS team burst damage fast.

last night on our weekely Hydross clear i got the Scarab of Displacement to add to my dodge set :) (dropped for us two weeks in a row now)

For other tanks maybe. I, however, usually go with a threat set on progression nights, so that our DPS can work out their mechanics.

i thought you were supposed to stack stam and avoidance for progression nights since the healers primarily need to work things out.

Not with our group. Our issues and tweeks are usually the tank rotations and when to and when not to burst DPS. Our healers are unfortunately very over-competent and amazing in the clutch. I say unfortunate simply because I have a resto Shammy that I have been itching to bring along, but he would be soooo sub-par compared to the others.
