I am dusting off my lvl 44 shaman and starting to play her again. I usually get picked for instances as a healer. My question is, do you think I should have a healing set of gear (if it's even available at this level), or just throw a couple of + healing enchants on some pieces and be done with it.
Cost is not a problem for enchants.

I think it would be a lot more effective to get some healing gear. You mana pool is just too small as an enhance shammy for a few enchants to help out enough. Also I think getting a set of green healing gear would be more cost effective possibly.
If you are looking for +healing mail gear, please do not hold your breath. It is very few and far between until Outlands. Your best bet would either be, leather/cloth with healing stats or enchant whatever mail piece you can with expensive enchants.
The enchants alone should work until you step through the dark portal.
