New to Wow/Warlock Follow

So i just got WoW this morning did a lil leveling and now im 16 im starting to get the hang off Warlock but there is a few things that i need help with.

What stat should i go for ive been useing Stamina because it raises my hp and i can mana tap to convert hp to mana witch is really good but im not sure if there is a better stat for Warlock that i should be useing.

And im not sure what Tree (i dont know what there caleld the like abilty tree thing ^^) to go Afflication if pretty cool i really like the DoT spells in there but im just so confused right now.

Edit: im a Blood elf if that makes any diffrence.

You got everything right on the first try.

STA is our primary stat, INT is our secondary (when starting out. When you get to higher (around 35-40), you're going to start going after +Spell Damage or +Shadow Damage. Later you're going to want the raiding/PvP stats, but you can put those off until you get closer to the cap.

Affliction is a great spec for leveling. Read The Shadow Compendium for guidelines on how best to play your warlock.

If you're going to buy gear, look for "of the Eagle" gear, since it has bot +STA and +INT. You can shorten your search by typing "of the Eagle" into the description slot and putting your level into the max slot before clicking on the search button.
