Talent HelpFollow

#1 May 05 2008 at 8:20 AM Rating: Decent
This is my first time playing WoW, so I`m not experienced with anything just yet. Been doing all available quests and moving along. I just hit lvl 10 which means I can start using talents. Whats a good beginning route to take? I used my first talent for the defense skill. I was thinking of working on the protection tree and the first tree(sorry can't remember the name right now). What are some of the "must haves" for tanking?

Dont spec tanking until 70.

Fury is your best friend.

You can "tank" anything lower levels in any spec.

Would you like to wield huge weapons (arms), duel wield(fury), or tank(protection)? Spec into whatever you will enjoy the most. I will say leveling with a prot spec is painfully slow, however, if prot is what makes you a happy person, go for it!

I guess it would be smarter to use talents on arms/fury and save protection til I`m higher level. Btw, how do you gain the ability to use other weapons? I`m a tauren and just entered the thunderbluff area. I can only use axe, mace, 2handed mace and barehands. I`m keeping all of those weapon skills capped but I`m gonna be behind on sword, 2handed sword, etc.

The weapon trainers in your factions major cities will offer different weapons abilities. Just seach them out in all your capitals.
