Does scorpid poison considered as Dot?Meaning will brake our traps, wyvern stings and scatter shots?

For a while, the poison effect did huge amounts of damage. It got nerfed, and chances are, the people who are still using the scorpid didn't catch on- or maybe they did, but they got attached to the little bugger.

When a Scorpid is used in PvP, its used to protect Viper Sting from being dispelled. The dispeller has a very good chance of dispelling a single scorpid poison out of 5 on the person, which will be reapplied fairly quickly, instead of your Viper Sting.

Important because Viper is a DoT and takes time to drain mana along with its cooldown. Can't instantly reapply it if its dispelled.

I was using mine for arena for awhile and that little dot was pretty nifty but the little guy is so damn slow...I may have to send "Taintripper" back into the wild...

Did you not read Ikaridono's post right above yours? Scorpids are arguably the best arena pets currently in the game (followed by the dps ravager, dps/stealthing cat, and ranged dps wind serpent). Scorpids aren't brought to the arena for their dps...

Besides this, Scorpid poison + Viper Sting also means the healer will most likely end up waisting mana and cooldowns on trying to get rid of the sting.

That's because you don't have Bestial Swiftness.

If you want to use a subpar pet for arena, go right ahead, but even MM PvP players go 11 into BM for a reason.
