so I'm making a warrior alt, lvling it with a friend of mine rolling druid, yes we all know where thats going. Anyway I was thinking of going mining/bs but I cant really decide.

I'll be doing mostly pvping with this (no **** huh?) and was wondering if this would benefit me the most or if there is another prof that i will end up getting more out of. Oh I did mining/eng, twice, on my main and i refuse to go through it again for a third time.

Thanks in advance.

Leveling in a duo is tough for gathering professions, since you make the other person wait while you run off to mine a node or pick some flowers. It's a pain, and I've tried to do it more than once. It is definitely worth having a gathering profession at 70, but unless you work out making each other wait, it won't level with you. I had to go back to mithril on my 64 war to get mining up to level, huge pain but worth it in the end. Skinning is nice, however, since you don't have to stop or run away from your partner to gather. Just not quite as much money.

That said, I generally pick profesions that make the best BoP items for your class. Since you said no engineering, there really isn't anything for warrior. The blacksmithing 2h weapons are about equal to, if not worse than, the s1 weapons you can buy for honor. Being able to make some BS items that sell is nice, but I don't know if its worth it. Up to you. The 1h bop weapons are good for a fury war, but you probably won't raid so its moot.

My suggestion is enchanting. It is totally worth having an enchanter, and you will be able to d/e all your items while you level, as well as when you upgrade epics at 70 to make some of your money back. Plus you get ring enchants. The profession to pair it with is totally up to you. Those engineering glasses are pretty sweet.

herbalism / alchemy
or
herbalism / enchanting

having been 70 on my warrior for quite some time now, currently raiding T5 stuff, (i know you said mostly pvp)
my warrior is mining / engineering. i love engineering but if i had to do it all over again i would do herb / alch.
i use more pots, elixirs and flasks then any single thing combined.
i spend a small fortune on herbs so i can get flasks / elixirs made.

if your mostly doing pvp, enchanting might be more worthwhile. DE all your quest rewards, to save the mats for yourself or sell, herbing to either sell, or save for have pots etc... made for you.
win / win as far as I'm concerned.

This will make you tons o' gold and save you tons o' gold.

I should know. I'm a BS/miner.

Seeing how your rogue is already Alc/Herb, I would definitely go Eng/Mining. Once my warrior got to 70 and I leveled engineering up, I started making Primal Mights like mad crazy. Gas Clouds are amazing, I don't see why Engineering isn't a more popular profession just because of that. Throw in Netherwing dailies and you'll have a ton of Primal fires and manas. (assuming you have epic flyer on both characters.) I even respecced my hunter's alchemy's mastery to Transmutes since then.
