Need gear help pleaseFollow

Hi im semi new to the pve side of druids, i raid on a fury warrior and have started gearing up my druid in the raids we have on farm status, kara, gruuls, and the first 4 ZA bosses. My current armory has all my pvp gear equiped and im wondering what i should start replacing for cat dps in raids and tanking in raids.

When tanking i replace my gear with, clefthoof legs and chest, braxxis staff of slumber(need a better staff lol), barbed choker, zierhuts boots, and moroes watch. Everything else stays the same.

When dpsing, i replace my gear with, stranglestaff, skulkers greaves, and the saberclaw talisman.

I just started gearing him up but the druid itemazation kinda confuses me expecially with tanking items, i really am just looking for help on what i should be going after badge vendor wise and in those raids above. And what should i enchant for what, as far as a tanking set/cat set.

Thanks very much, from a confused druid

www.emmerald.net is a good place to start, since it ranks gear for every slot for DPS (Cat) and for Mitigation/Avoidance (Bear), and has 2 lists for each, assuming Kara-entry level stats and starting T5 stats.

For DPS, rogue gear is okay, but it generally has more hit rating than we need. Also, crit rating is strictly worse than Agility for ferals. At almost any reasonable value for total AP and crit %, Agi is better than Str. Str is worth a little more than 2 AP thanks to BoK, so take Str over AP if you have a choice. Hit rating cap for ferals is 142.

For tanking, generally get Def up to crit immune, then Armor, then Stam, then Agi, then dodge. The armor cap for raid bosses is 35,880. Defense cap is 415, or a total of 2.6% fewer crits from Def + Resil.
