Aethien's guide for t5?Follow

So I was wondering and everything a new hunter needs to know is in Mulgrin's a guide. Aethien's says everythign you need before you go into Kara.

I was just wondering if someone would have the patience and do a guide pre-T5.
I think it could help people starting this. They would know the best gear they can get at Tier 4 stuff (like best boots or best gloves, karazhan or gruuls loot), they would know the basic stats they need to start it and how to achieve them.

I would really appreciate if someone would be nice enough to us and make one.
If you guys feel it isn't needed, just post here. If you guys hae better things to do, just post here. Just saying it would be cool.

Thanks =D

A tier 5 guide isn't really needed. There are a ton of different instances and quests to get gear from pre-kara, but there really isn't a whole lot to look at and consider between going from Kara/Gruul/Mag/ZA to SSC and TK. I think a good combination of Atlas Loot Enhanced and Cheeky's Spreadsheet is all you need.

Agreed, if you are in T5 Content and are still unsure of how to gear yourself and where to look for gear, then you have bigger problems.

A rough pre-T5 guide:
http://www.lootrank.com/wow/rank.asp
Agility = 2.1
Crit = 1.9
AP = 1
Haste = 1.8
ArP = .25
Ranged DPS = 9

Take into consideration hit cap, and importance of haste with slower weapons.

EDIT: Hmm, can't link lootrank rankings directly? Or am I just an idiot?

Raiding t5 is not harder than t4. Albeit, you will face some really tough encounters. Take Solarian for example, "Oh ****, I am sparkling like a defect lightbulb. Should I run?"

Lolz. Solarian alarm. With that, it's like "oh ****, my screen is blue, I need to get away from everyone or else I wipe the raid."

You'll also go up against encounters like Void Reaver. "Uh oh. I see a huge sparkly ball coming at me. What should I do?" I swear, that fight is so easy- even without VR Alarm. I did it last night one handed while talking on the phone with my mother. My pet died, but I didn't get hit by a single orb, and I was still within the top 5 on the charts.

And I finally got my T5 shoulders. Oh, they're sexy.

Tbh, the only fight where you need to think outside the box is Al'ar. That fight so bloody chaotic that you will run around like a beheaded chicken until you master it.

Grats on the shoulders btw. I'm stuck with my ugly and crappy t4.

Wait...... you say you prefer the looks of T5 shoulders over T4?

My god.... I was almost crying when i replaced my S1 with T5, T5 is the most HIDEOUS pair of shoulders i have ever seen.

T5 shoulders are not that sexy looking, I agree...I do like the lightning though... I sure was happy to get them when I did. Especially from that easy VR fight... T5 gloves and pants were much harder to get however. So anyways...If your pretty well kara geared, you can start up working on VR, Solarian, Lurker.Have fun.

I miss how my full T4 looks. I don't mind how T5 looks, but the shoulders stick WAY too far out on Nightelves. I'm so jealous of how they look on Draenei, though. They're a lot smaller, and are angled back a little bit. It looks so much better.

And btw, if you want a guide on what NOT to roll on in T5 content, the hunter-only trinket (Talon of Al'ar) blows ***. I was researching it, just in case A'lar drops it... It apparently does NOT effect Auto shot- only Steady Shot, Multi shot and Aimed Shot.

The reasoning behind it is that a "shot" is a special type of hunter attack that takes mana. A "Damaging shot" is the type of shot that adds to the damage done to the base damage you would have done. Auto Shot is not a "shot" it is an auto attack.

I suppose if it drops, and no one else wants it, you can bank it just in case blizzard buffs it so it's better than the blue trinkets that you can get from 5-man, non-heroic dungeons. But as it is right now, Hourglass and Abacus are better.
