CS-Macro?Follow

Hi,

I have a little problem finding a good counterspell macro.

I need a macro, that can serve as a normal CS, and if I have a focus on some other target I wanna be able to use a modifier+ the button to target my focus, CS and to re-aquire the last target again.

I have found a few macros so far, that were designed to do that, but I always had problems with them.

1. I have two targets to fight, and set my focus to one of them. I start working on 1, but suddenly its required to CS this target insted of the /focus one. All /target lasttarget options I have tried so far led me to change my target to the target that I don't wanna fight yet after the CS goes off, often leading to confusion.

2. I couldn't yet get a macro to work with a modifier, and its veeery stupid to have to focus every target that I fight to be able to CS at all. So I need a macro that can be used as normal CS if nothing else but the button is clicked, but targets the /focus if I press a modifier and the button and then change to nuking target.

If it is not possible to have a macro that reaquires my main target without this annoying bug, that I also swich targets when I decide to CS my nuking target instead of my /focus, I'd also be happy if someone could show me a makro that will just stay at the focused targed after I CS it, and has the working modifier-mechanic.

It would also be nice if anyone could tell me a nice addon to show me what my focused target is casting, in a recognizable fashion. Even better one that doesn't only work in arena ;)

TY in advance.

P.S. please no half-baken ideas with macros you haven't tried out and possibly have writing mistakes and bugs in them.

Lol, seems to be harder than I thought it would be to get such a kind of macro and addon linked xD

(basically *bump*)

Not sure if this is what you want.... but

1) You need some unit frame for your focus target
2) You manually set your focus target before the fight
3) Now you stay on the normal target, with the option to CS either

Heres the macro I use

#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:shift,target=focus] Counterspell; [] Counterspell

Nice and simple. The first part handles your focus target, so if you hold SHIFT while pressing your CS button, you CS focus target. Otherwise it just does a normal counterspell on your normal target.

I also handle polymorph in the same way, and I even do this across different classes with different abilities (fear, blind, cyclone, deathcoil, drain mana, silence, spell lock, kick).

Example poly

#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:shift,target=focus] Polymorph; [] Polymorph

Not sure if this is what you were looking for.
