Started with UO(if anyone even remembers that game lol) when FFXI came I did the beta(huge FF fan since FF1) and played, then tried WoW like a lot of ppl did( just before BC) liked FFXI better, went back to FFXI. Tried the new thing called RealLife (got a fiancee with +1 to all stats!) and all was well.
Then one of my work friends who became very close says to me one day a year or so later " m
Man u gotta try this World of Warcraft game" and right then and there I knew I was in trouble. Lol
3 months or so later I got my lock to 60 and started a pally on his server, now 37. Fiancee hates it(" Are you playing again on the computer?) I know how MMORPGs can eat ur life away but ya know, I do it for one of my closest friends......
Lol if u buy that excuse I got some great ocean front property in a Searing Gorge ur gonna LOVE!

Grew up with the D&D, played console games up til even now with my PS3. Actually started on Magic the card game, got introduced into EQ for the playstation then onto the computer, played Ultima...bleh! Went back to EQ where I met some cool people, and then got introduced to this wonderful game of WOW. Funny how you meet some people that you would never in a million years think would play games online, but here we are all ages and walks of life, gotta love it!!!!

I started EverCRACK after Luclin's Debut, and Played until 2 years ago with a group of friends. I was a GM on the Euro=Servers and a Beta Tester on EQ II..... which was a BEEG YOKE! I Love the Ease at Skilling up in this game!!!!!! It took me 2 years to make my Druid a Master Tailor, 21 months farming stuff to get my Paladin to Master Smith and the same to get my Gnome Warrior to Master Tinker.......

My Paladin is about 3 months old and is already at 221 in Blacksmithing!! WOOOOOOT!! Do we WOOT in this game??? hahaha

I don't group as much as I did in EQ but I really like the "SOLO" ease that WOW affords.... Wish I'd left EQ when ALL my friends did! 11 Expansions and they STILL don't get it???!!!

BLIZZ beat SOE by several lengths at the finish in my opinion!

Ultima Online -> Star Wars: Galaxies (PreCU) -> WoW

I retired from Ultima after some 7 years or so and ended up in SWG which was great until the CU came around. I quit and was MMO-less for over a year before I finally gave in and tried out WoW. I dabbled in Anarchy Online, Project Entropia, Lord of the Rings Online, but none of them were particularly spectacular.

Prior to that I played several MUDs and (before the Internet) I played BBS Door games like LORD, Falcon's Eye Trade Wars: 2020 and Nethack.

I don't consider Starcraft an MMO... nor do I consider Diablo or Diablo II to be MMOs... so we won't count them.

My first ever MMO was Ultima Online. Though, I did play a bunch of MUSHes, MUXen, and MUDs back in the day. Anyway, I didn't play UO for long because I was addicted to these text-based games.

The first MMO that REALLY caught me hardcore was Earth and Beyond. Due to school, work, and fiance, I only got my Jenquai Explorer to level 85, but it was an awesome ride. It was really the only game that I think has EVER done crafting right. You used raw materials to build components to build items. You could also BREAK DOWN existing items for components. Items also had a grade.. if you were quite a bit more skilled than necessary to craft Item X, it would potentially have a bonus, up to I think 200% of normal. Ah.. E&B, I miss you so.

I dabbled in Anarchy Online back then a bit, was in the Beta test for The Sims Online and The Matrix Online, played a little bit of the end of the WoW beta, then got hooked on Lineage II for a little over 2 years. That game will destroy your soul. I've played some CoH/V, EVE... aw hell, I'm just gonna list.

Ultima Online
Earth and Beyond (Beta & Live)
The Sims Online (Beta)
The Matrix Online (Beta)
Lineage II (Beta & Live)
City of Heroes
City of Villains
Dungeons and Dragons Online (Beta)
World of Warcraft (Beta & Live)
Auto Assault (Beta)
Guild Wars
Lord of the Rings Online (Beta)
Tabula Rasa (Beta)
Exteel (Beta)

I've also played Second Life for awhile... but I don't consider it to be the same as any of the others, since it's just social.

Jeez.. I've played or tested lots of games...

First started playing Everquest. Left because I went on deployment right
as an expansion dropped and fell way way behind all of my friends. Moved to Star
Wars after that and left after they dumbed the game down and took all the custominzation
away.
