try doing nights of attempts on a boss with plenty of progress and having to
1. resummon pet (every attempt)
2. resummon HS well (every attempt)
3. use SS (whenever up).
my 28 shards can get reduced to less than 10 pretty damn fast if there isn't anything to get shards off during these attempts

What I'm saying is that assuming it's 10 minutes/attempt, 20 shards will last you just over 3 hours @3shards/attempt. Trash respawns are generally quicker than that, but even if they aren't, the 2 attempts for which I would have over 20 shards don't really seem to be worth the cost/time/etc. of a shard bag. I'd rather just drop some gray items (which I wouldn't be able to hold w/ a shard bag anyway).
