Yes, it will change, but the fists are so goddamn good that there's no way they're a DPS loss against anything except S3/T6 weapons.

Didn't use my own spec.

I used 20/41/0 combat fists and 20/41/0 combat swords for each respective one.

And yes, it will change with his gear.

The DPS of each will go down. (Because he's a scrub.) Smiley: tongue

Eh, I plugged it into the Spreadsheet for my gear and Latro's is still better for me in the OH according to the spreadsheet. Might not be true for everyone(I have 5% or so Haste on me) but definately use the spreadsheet so ya don't jip yourself by running H MgT more than ya need to.

On my unbuffed DPS it was .05 DPS better, but buffed DPS it shows a 1 DPS loss...

Not worth it regardless but still I'm curious as to why it would be different.

Are you plugging both in as combat swords, exact same build?

The stats on Kael's OH are better, there should be no reason that Latro's even touches it, at best it's ~10 DPS short.

Make sure you're using the most current version of the spreadsheet, too (2.4.0.9).

Would the fact that I'm using the Badge Fist in my MH make a difference? I'm currently 16/45/0 Combat Fist+Sword.

EDIT: And yes, I'm changing nothing but the OH Sword.

Theres my armory, only difference is for Raids I use Fel Leather Leggings which give me 1.84% more Hit, .57% more Crit, 48.4 less AP, and 1.14% less Haste.

Edit: in checking my spreadsheet, you're right; Kael's OH is giving me 1.17 less DPS buffed.

Of course that's 0.08% buffed DPS, but either way, it's a loss in DPS.

1) Hello everyone, I'm back.
2)I doubt anyone cares
3)No, 2.4 did nothing for geared Combat Swords Rogues unless you count the sword that drops out of the new 25 man as an upgrade for what you have.
4)Unless you have some excellent swords the fists w/ fist spec are a higher dps.
5)I seem to have somehow deleted my spreadsheets and have to go right now but the fists were an upgrade from the S1 Swords and Spiteblade/Blazefury. And I think Talon of Azshara as well. I'll post again with specific numbers later...maybe.

.1 OH speed seems more valuable as Swords/Fists (rather than swords) from playing around with the spreadsheet. Makes sense, I guess, as the proc has 5% extra crit chance.

Ahh, that's an excellent point; I didn't think of that.

So for sword/sword Kael's OH will be better, but with fist/sword the speed of Latro's is superior.

I think we can guess, then, that Latro's is better than S1 OH for fist/sword as well.

Also, all of his criticism did have reason and if you accept it and realize that you do have flaws like those pointed out and seek to improve upon them you may become a better person for it. The philosophy behind the new badge weapons
The idea behind the weapons on the badge vendors was to cater more towards some of the less desirable specs, if you will - as a way to encourage players to use those specs; such as daggers for rogues, axes for warriors, etc.
