The list is in the FAQ.

Yes, you can jump direct to T5 if you want. Depends on how good the rest of your raid is since they'll have to carry you through :)

I'm just kidding around.

Seriously though, there is some badge gear and PvP gear that is equivalent (or better in some cases) than some T4 stuff. So you don't HAVE to have them. If you do, it just makes you that much better.

You may have been kidding, but you were accurate. If you're in fresh level 70 gear and trying to hop right to T5, you will be carried, plain and simple.

You can get plenty of badge gear, dungeon gear, and heroic gear, and then move to T5, but that's hardly what I'd call jumping directly to T5.

What I've heard is that the new badge of justice- junk is more equal to t5 than t4. Haven't been playing for a couple of weeks though so I haven't seen the badgestuff yet.

But yeah, I agree with the previous posters, if you have just leveled up to 70 and try to jump to t5, you will be carried through.
And I would suggest doing t4 raids first, just to learn how to raid. I personally wouldn't want to be carried through. It would suck.

That is what I meant. I agree that it's not quite "jumping" to T5, but I figure if you skip the T4 gear, you can still do pretty good in the T5 raid with the other stuff.

To Ereithia's point - learning to raid is VERY important. It is very different from 5 mans. If you've never been to Kara or Gruuls, then you have no business in SSC/TK.

The badge gear has some really good individual pieces, but they don't constitute an entire set. Plus the time it would take to farm the 500 badges or whatever you could easily get a set of T4 just doing pugs. On top of that, no respectable raiding guild I've ever heard of would ever take a player in nothing but badge gear/pvp stuff to T5 content or beyond.

Dil - you are right.

So a direct answer to the OP is "No. Work your way up. It is the most efficient way to get to the T5 raids." :)

If you can get into a T5 raid weekly and they don't mind your quest blues and greens, then by all means go ahead. But that's not likely to happen any time soon. Most guilds are scrubs stuck in kara that wipe on bane anyway, finding one that'll let you raid ssc/tk with them would be a waste of time.

It would be redundant to give my input on "skipping" Tier 4, but I will adress the other question: use the World of Warcraft Armory to look up items. There's this site, though you have to have some knowledge of what you're looking for. wowdb.com is another good one. And my personal favorite (though it requires you to be in game to look things up) is the AtlasLoot addon. You can view drops from every boss in every dungeon/raid in game, reputation lists, the Badge rewards split up by Shatt vendor and Quel'Danas vendor, PvP items, even a list of all the Tabards in game =P
