yo guys
bn trying to work out a few trees for leveling my pala and cant stop thinking about using reckoning with a 2 hander.
constantly being hit in pve would mean i have constant reckoning?
and and extra attack with a 2hander would be beefy
picking up BOK along te way is pretty sweet also, then id put the rest into ret..
does this sound viable or jsut a nice dream

Simple answer: no its not viable. The extra swing wouldnt be enough reason to drop that many points into the Protection tree for a Retadin

Getting 5/5 Reckoning used to be the Ret spec back when Crusader Strike sucked.
Now though, you need those minimum 41 points in Ret tree and that stops you from being able to get Reckoning.

Using a 3.5 speed weapon, you'd get at most 2 bonus swings.
It sounds nice at first, but you'd do more DPS using those talents in other places.

That's where the real weakness comes in... Reckoning is made for weapons with 2.0 or faster swing timers, and two handed weapons just don't fit the bill.

A bit redundant but I agree. Reckoning is pretty well balanced to suck for anything slower than 2.5s. For levelling, going Prot is actually an awesome way to play the game though; Reckoning with a solid 1H (Sword of Omen was mine) and Fiery enchant cuts through equal-level mobs faster than you'd think, without the constant mana usage of Retribution. You can easily engage four or five mobs at a time with no fear of dying suddenly. I was able to out-level Retadins AND tank instances, so I'd recommend going Prot if you havent hit Outlands yet.

Exactly what i needed to hear, I was thinking of going port be it with 1hander or 2 hander but you jsut swayed me, and thanks to all the other guys input aswell.
thinking about it 2-3 swings doesnt sound worth it
