Think thats how you spell it...

Anyways, just had it drop off prince and since i was the only one capable of using it, it went to me. Im currently 19/42/0 combat swords and using Spiteblade and S2 OH. Now i was wondering if i should maybe just vendor or maybe respec to 41/20/0?
Not really sure but I just wanna hear what you guys have to say

if you want to mess around with it, theres no harm specing 41/20/00 for a little while. definaty dont just vendor it, that would be such a waste of a nice dagger

I think you will still do more Dps with your swords but keep it to try out Mutilate or Ambushes etc for fun. I always have a pair of daggers in the bank whenever I feel like messing around with em.

Keep it so that you can respec to mutilate for fun.

It is by far my fav spec.

i'm combat swords but have a macro to switch to Malch when i go into stealth so i can ambush...not that i do it very often...just a way to use a nice, cool looking dagger that would otherwise sit in the bank.

I was secretly hoping that it would drop off Prince on Sunday. For that exact reason - I want to play around with Mutilate.

I don't see how it can be more fun than Shadowstep - but I can't really talk because I haven't tried it. All I know is that my biggest gripe with Rogue, and the reason I quit it for a year at L66, was the lack of mobility. The current Shadowstep just pwnd that complaint...

I also can't imagine giving up prep, 3 min vanish, 1.5 min blind, reduced blind energy cost, ranged sap, MoD, stealth movement speed, Serrated blades, etc.

Ah well ... One of these days I'll get a Malchazeen, stick Mongoose on it, pick up THe Mutilator (badge off hand 103 DPS 1.8 speed) and try it out ... See what all the burst damage hype is all about :)

My mutilate build has ranged sap and MoD. And it is one of the most effective builds in BGs since it doesn't require any cooldowns, CB is awesome when it is up, but by no means necessary.

With Shadowstep, you keep an eye out of a perfect situation when you can pop prep, because 1o minutes is a long wait.

With mutilate you can move on from target to target, with zero cooldowns, and still wtfpwn them.

Yeah that is probably what I am gonna do. Just is it really worth to spend to money for mongoose on it if im not even gonna use it that much? I defiantly want to try out mutilate though because it seems really fun. l

Ok so Im actually now thinking about respeccing 41/20 muti for raiding. I would use malchazeen for my MH, but what should i use for my OH? I was thinking of picking up the S1 OH, or do you want a slow dagger for your OH for PvE muti?

Yes, you want a slow dagger in your off-hand.

If you are doing Kara, you should be able to get Emerald Ripper off Morose. Then you would use Malchzeen in your MH (higher top end damage) and ER in your OH.

I was thinking of picking up http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34952. And if i did should i use Malch in my MH?

Use whichever item has the highest top end damage in MH. In this case, the Mutilator tops out 241, so that would be the one you would want in your MH.

But you can only use in OH

Touche.

In this case you don't have a choice then, but typically that is what you would want, highest damage in the main hand.

Ok so i just bought it the other day with my 45 badges. I then went to heroic MgT and i have to say, I liked the dmg output. Of course its not as good as swords, but it is still a lot more fun than it for sure.

What kind of overall DPS where you able to put out? I bought it as well, along with S1 MH dagger, both mongoose, and was marginally impressed.
#22 May 01 2008 at 11:24 AM Rating: Decent
well like i said, its not as good as combat swords. But I was still putting out a good amount of dps than i expected is what i mean. Plus you have to admit, its tons more fun
