Warlock PvP gear - starting up questionFollow

Looked around and can't find this question answered elsewhere on the board. Sorry if I missed it but....

For some strange, unknowable reason, I actually have started to enjoy BGs on my lock. What was once a thankless chore on my other toons has become a fun way to spend a couple of hours after work on this one. So instead of leveling up fast as a jack-rabbit on fire I'm planning on bracket-sitting at 59 (for AB and WSG marks), 60 (AV obviously) and 69 (EotS). Once I've racked up enough marks for s2/vindicator gear I'll start in on 70 AVs (my main goal). Or so goes my general plan.

My question is this: Would the 70 Rep pvp gear (Dreadweave) really be all that helpful starting off in 70 BGs and keeping until each piece is replaced. Or if the added time to quest and grind rep would be better spent in BGs just amassing honor.

I'll be trying out several specs with this gear so I'm not considering spec choice in my decision making here. I'm also not considering using any of this gear for Arena for obvious reasons.

Just hoping for constructive viewpoints/experience. Thanks in advance!

If you have the rep, or are close to having it, buy the blue gear. If you are nowhere near it, forget about it and get back in AV. It's not like the battleground requires skill or gear to win.

The Dreadweave set is pretty nice and you'll earn more honor per kill for doing the BGs at 70 than at 60. Also, doing the PvP daily every day and turning in the 1 of each mark for honor will make the grind a bit more bearable and both are best done at 70. The dreadweave gear itself is not a grind at all to get, since it's all at honored. You'll probably get honored with every faction on your way to 70 (with the exception of Sha'tar, which will take like 2 runs through Mech).

Thanks for the feedback.

There will probably be a bit of rep grinding but heading into 70s BGs with the spellblade and dreadweave should help quite a bit with survivability. So, I'll probably go with that set up.

Thanks again!
