Fight vs a Warlock ... who jumped me at 3%Follow

No- I don't think I'm a hero. No- I don't think BGs are srs bsns. I just thought this was funny and I'm bored so I'm going to tell you my heroic tale!

So ... After a triumphant first fight in a fresh WSG game, I had 3 kills, 0 deaths and game leading damage. Before you think I'm just some scrub farming kills, I also returned a flag in there!

I was, however, almost dead. ~300 health left.

And that's when I see a Warlock come running at me! As his succubus (!?) closes in on me, I manage to hit Stealth -> ShS -> CS.

Hemo Hemo KS.

During the KS, the Succy hit me for enough that I was about to die. I hit battlemaster's trinket. I blinded the succy.

Lock is at half health ... Deathcoil! Corruption ... FEAR!

Trinket -> CloS -> WTFPWN

Warlock dies. From 100%

His S1 shoulders weren't enough ... Battlemaster faded right as he died and I had 1 (ONE!) HP left.

I win!

I love stories like that.

I killed a full S3 warrior in much the same way, but it's not like putting up Ghostly Strike, Evasion and getting hit once for Cheat Death to proc is hard.

Getting through 13k HP felt like an accomplishment, though. Smiley: tongue

This is the kind of thing I look forward to when my rogue is up there... in the mean time, I'll play the part of the warlock that gets ganked.

Honestly, warlocks are almost free honor for rogues these days (though it gets better now that I have 250 resilience). I was in WSG (the only time I do it is when it's the daily) with another lock. The 2 of us found a rogue at around 30%. End of fight, we killed him. My lock was at 20%ish and the other warlock was dead. I looked him up later and he was in full S3 on a 2K+ ranked team (in the top 100, as I recall). whew!

Warlocks are 100% about gear. 11k hp 250 resilience gets crushed. 14k hp 493 resilience tends to crush a little. Against a 4/5+ S3 shs rogue I have a good run for my money. Most full S1 rogues can get me down to about 90% health.. >.<

Nice story but the lock sucked. Any lock worth a damn would have had the succy seduce you to force the trinket and ***** the stun.

Either that or he could have been cheap and taken advantage of the pet targeting issue. Having both a Rogue and a Warlock, I am well aware of both sides of that issue.

The fact that he charged you instead of picking you off as soon as he targeted you says a lot.

He didn't say that the lock was good; just that he killed a Lock while he was at 3%.

It's still a good story. Smiley: wink

I thought I made it pretty clear that the lock was bad. But just in case ...

The lock was badddd

I can just imagine the poor guy ... Sitting in his chair ... ego broken ... Complaining to his guildies about how OP Rogues are ...

Nice, it's so easy to tell when a 70 is poorly geared just from a couple smacks, their health drops so fast and you feel like the incredible hulk. This cockiness does get to me though - sometimes I go charging in a BG fight already half dead arms swingin'.

Another humorous thing in BG's is when someone see's you half dead and they think you're an easy target so they try to close in on ya for the easy kill. They picked the wrong class to do that to!

I get that a lot on my lock, haha. People see a warlock with 1/2 hp and assume easy pickings. What the don't see is a health pot/battlemasters/healthstone and the 17k+ hp I normally have rolling around in AV.

Yes, Bad Locks are bad...I ganked one earlier who didn't even react to my Garroting and then Burning her.

No she wasn't afk, she was doing a daily and activly attacking them.

I get the same feeling from those AV's where I get top damage, KB's, HK's, with zero deaths.

I love my healer friends.
