Dreadsteed Quest BugFollow

Waited all weekend to gather some guildies who would help me with the Dire Maul part of quest. I had done everything right and asked a fellow guildie who has the three pieces that do not get used after summoning. We go in, do our thing, summon and kill the steed, kill the boss that spawns. I talk to the steed, get the "You are mine now dreadsteed" blah blah blah, no dreadsteed spell in my book, I can keep talking to it, clicking the message but still no steed. Even though I got the quest is complete message. Opened a ticket and sat in DM by myself for a couple of hours waitng. A GM finally /w me, I explained what happened and he/she said that the ticket will be upgraded to an item specialist. I was so aggravated that I said Thank you and logged for the night. Should be getting an e-mail or in-game tell when it gets resolved. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? I followed all the quests and GOT THE QUEST IS COMPLETE MESSAGE, thats the thing that urks me because I can't even do it over again. Any ideas?

Umm, there is no turn in. I went back to the trainer in Org. and quest giver in Burning Steppes, nothing at all. I was told that as soon as you "talk " to the spirit of the steed that you learn spell. Is there a turn in somewhere else? The guide on it doesn't say so, and the book the quest givers gave me doesn't say anything about having to turn it in to anybody.

Just checked the guide on the Warlock's Den website and it says spell is placed in spell book after I talk to spirit of Dreadsteed.

There's a similar post in the paladin forums about the charger quest. Seems like there is an issue with certain class quests not actually giving the rewards upon completion.

it's a known bug, same for druid flying and pally mount, all of which weren't appearing in the spell book. it's been fixed for pally and druid now (i believe), but blizzard hates warlocks so not for us yet. just contact a GM and they'll give the spell to you

That's a bit odd. Is it a new bug that started recently? Because I just got my dreadsteed a week or 2 ago, without any problems.

Hopefully they fix it soon, so you can get yours.

The GM just upgraded the ticket so I hope it gets resolved soon, was looking forward to this mount for about 59 levels lol. Thanks for the info on other classes having problems.

it's probably one of those bugs that doesn't affect everyone

i had the same problem, quest complete but no summon dreadsteed spell.

I opened a ticket and got a reply that they would escalate it, on the second reply they told me to check my spellbook and the spell had been added.

Also when he asked if there was anything else he could help me with i asked him if he could put ice block in for me too but with no success, it was worth a shot though.

Well, I got home last night, logged on and I was standing near the Inn in Thrallamar atop my new dreadsteed! Yay! The GM even replaced my felsteed spell with the dreadstead spell on my action bar. Cool beans BLizz!
