hi there. I saw a similar thread listed like, 2 months back but since i've rarely touched my priest i sort of just forgot about it.

Anyway, here is a link to my armory:

http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Frostwolf&n=Iheal

As you may notice, I have 3/3 PMC and 2/2 Whitemend. Ive heard previously that this gear is good enough to heal through SSC/TK.

I Know first hand that it doesn't give me enough stamina because fighting najentus in black temple was next to near impossible for me.

That said, I've reached the point where i want to start upgrading these sets.

Yesterday, the t5 shoulders dropped for me.

Now here is my question, should I go ahead and replace the PMC shoulders for the t5 shoulders, or should I wait to at least get one more piece of t5 before I look to break teh 5% regen set bonus from PMC.

Also, when do I break those sets? I vaguely remember someone mentioning certain gear choices in Zul Aman and other raids that I should attain before breaking either set. Could someone help me with what my next upgrade should be and when I should be wearing those t5 shoudlers as my first choice in healing gear? I like the angel wiings!!!

I think there's some analysis on dwarfpriest.com as to when to break your sets.

The whitemend set isn't so great since 2.4 as it has no spirit. For me (it depends on how much intellect you have), the new badge pants, adorned supernal legwraps, were better than the whitemend pants and the whitemend set bonus together (more +heal, more mana regen and more stamina). I think it would be the same story for T5 pants. As the whitemend set bonus is broken anyway, even the T4 helm is better than whitemend imo, though of course the T5 (1st), TK (2nd) and ZA (3rd) helms are better.

Primal mooncloth is a little trickier, the set bonus is so nice. I would guess the same old rule would apply as before 2.4: its generally not worth breaking the primal mooncloth set until you have 2 pieces of T5 gear for the 2xT5 set bonus, but its worth switching primal mooncloth for T5 shoulders if more survivability is needed for a particular boss. To replace the belt, getting the belt of the long road made seems the best way to go (lots of spirit), and to replace the robe get the new badge robe if you can, if not T5 or the ZA robe.

Head: Third Eye from Hex Lord (best till T6 or Benediction)
Legs: Badges (best till Sunwell)
Shoulder: T5 (with 2p from gloves best till 4pT6)
Chest: ZA or badges (badges slightly better, and I mean slightly)
Waist: Long Road (best until Council)

Two piece of PMC replacement and I'd break the set, easiest would be belt + something. Either the head or the legs surpasses that piece of Whitemend plus the set bonus by a fair amount.

oops yes, on second glance the ZA helm is better than the TK one - but better than T5 I'm not so sure. You get similar mp5 inside the 5 sec rule & +heal from ZA & T5 helms, just more intellect on the ZA one or more spirit plus the meta gem bonus on the T5 one. For me, I'm still stuck with the whitemend hood at the moment - I'll take whatever I can get!

Thanks for the list.
Looks like I am stuck with the 2 crafted sets for now. I have 100 badges, but replacing just the pants will be a too small improvement to blow all the badges on it.
Maybe I will aim for the mace for now.

Btw, how do Swiftheal Mantle stand in comparison with PMC?

should i really craft the whitemend set seems like i wont have it for long or should i just craft it and it will last till t5?

Depending on where you're at for raid progression, the Whitemend Set should last you quite a while. If you have the means to do it, i would, but to each his own. I'm going to do it if possible for me when I hit 70.

*Edited for spelling*
