I`m about to play this game for the first time soon, and thought warrior would be a great first class to play. I`ve been a tank(and a really good one) in the previous mmorpgs I`ve played, so for the most part I know what to expect. I Do have a couple of questions though...
I know race isn't that important, and what it comes down to is player skill, but what are the best races for warrior/tanking? At lvl 70, which races will have the best stats to be a tank?
What exactly does stamina effect?
What are the most important stats to have as a tank? Like HP first, Defense 2nd for example?

Human for Reputation increase, Sword/Mace skill "buff", Perception.
Night Elf for 1% passive Dodge, faster travel times when dead.
Gnome for Escape Artist, knowing that you just tanked a mob as a character no bigger then a lawn ornament.
Dwarf for Stone Form, Treasure Finding, not overly pleasing to look at though.
Each class can tank, very well, its just a matter of opinion, grind to exalted faster then others, cure your own bleed effect, escape root effects, or get 1% free dodge.
1 Stamina = 10 Health
I dont known Horde tanking stats but I'd imagine Taurens 5% increase to health would be nice
