level 39, prot (yes i know i shouldn't whine because i'm such low level blah blah but i also have this on my holy/ret level 70 main)

well holy @70 is the only spec really that doesnt have any anti-kiting tools. Retribution has Repentance and Pursuit of Justice, those are the best for anti-kiting. (It's still not much)

Prot at 50 you can get Avenger's Shield which dazes your target, making it easier to get to them. Of course you're going to die against any kiting class anyway if they know what they are doing.

The best ways to prevent kiting are /sigh, /sit, or /wave. If you're not still trying to get to them they won't have to kite you anymore.

BoF, PvP Trink, Cleanse.

That and don't go looking to chase down a mage, not gonna happen. Other than that don't suck, realize how you are being kited and try to avoid it. Simple as that.

it's the fact that they stay more than 10 yards away that's so annoying, otherwise i could've just done hammer of justice, and i kept spamming blessing of freedom whenever i got slowed (not at daze)

QFT best advice ever. As you keep playing you can work out little strategies to try and help you with those kiting classes. You probably still wont win 9/10 times, but its better than 10/10.

Think the point is if you get good you will reach them. Or at least learn to sucessfully disengage. I leveled 35-60something Prot. I killed hunters, I killed Locks, I made Mages go OOM and run. Suck less.

but if they're 20 yards away and daze me (you can only dispell daze with bubble as paladin) i'm still fried. Could i maybe use the goblin rocket launcher when i'm higher level?

I think the operative phrase here is, "If they're bad you'll reach them." I killed Hunters, 'Locks, and Mages from 35-60 as well, but the only Mages and Hunters I could kill were easily identifiable as bad ones, and the better 'Locks will just drain you into helpless pulp since you don't have the burst of Ret.

You will not make it to a good Hunter or Mage. It's possible to run them OOM, but if they're not dumb and they realize it's going to happen, they'll either just run away, drink, and try again ad infinitum, or get bored and just run away period.
