what stat do you need so that Taunt is resisted less oftenFollow

Since taunt is now a physical attack it is effected by hit. And yes you should have as much a reasonable possible. There are plenty of posts on this site with ideal tank stats so not gonna repost them.

No you should most definitely not stack hit with tanking. Expertise is more worthwhile, even considering the bonus to taunt. You should realize that the hit rating required to cap your taunt chance is prohibitively high, and will utterly gimp your more important tanking stats if you focus on it. Also, most of your raid bosses and mobs are immune to taunt anyway.

Agreed if you do not have a threat generation issue you don't need to stack hit. I think currently I am running at 56 hit. Which is high enough so that I usually dont miss. Not capped though. And Expertise>hit for threat generation.

Expertise > hit for also not get wtfpwned by having a boss parry 1 or 2 attacks in a row.

While expertise is far better than hit, if you have gear with hit on it (king's defender) it is still very useful, and works with all your abilities just like expertise.
