Hello my fellow Paladin's.Just wanting everyone's take on a time when you yourself conquered even the most unsurvivable conditions. To the point were you thought it was hopeless but yet seezed the day.Post your stories here!I'm writing a story on a Wow based Paladin. All comments would help!

Most unsurvivable for me was soloing shadowfang keep at level 26.I aggroed 3 elites....One 21, and 2 were level 20.I used just about everything I could think of in by luck the right order including Lay on hands. And fought back the evil doers and won the day.I was impressed with myself.Probably doesn't seem like much but I even solo'd the Test of Righteousness quest.Hard at times but went pretty smoothly and now i have my hammer of "NO"!

I'm sure there have been many more close calls and amazing triumphs on my part but one that stands out really strongly in memory:

I was still at the bare minimum gear level to get into heroics and I was tanking Heroic UB. We cleared the instance easily up to the last boss. We laid out our plan, on this particular run we were going to ignore the adds and DPS hard on the stalker. The fight begins, and the rest of the party (ranged DPS and healers entirely) enter the fight and hang by the front of the room.. I'm already thinking this will go badly, so I try to coax them further in by moving deeper. No dice. Oh well I figure, they're making life more difficult for themselves (the adds) but it shouldn't matter if they do their jobs.

The fight goes on. 70%, 60%, 50% -- a DPSer goes down, what? A DPSer? That makes no sense at all.... "Sorry.. I was trying to kill the adds". 30% and the party is still standing still for some reason.. I want to scream "IGNORE THE ADDS DOESN'T MEAN LET THEM BEAT ON YOU!!" -- 20%, the party is clearly going to die so I position myself to buy me the most time and yell at the survivors to run out and reset the encounter. I blow everything I have and go all out, the others don't move and get their faces pounded. 10%.. 5%, I'm going to die, there's no way I can get him down the last 5% all alone with the adds bearing down on me. LoH is gone, my trinkets will buy me 1 or 2 seconds at the most. Bubble is down, and there's no way I'll last long enough on the run to re-set the fight now. I watch my health dwindle and notice color return to the HP bar of the shammie healer and the elemental shammie. Apparently the healer just remembered to ahnk, and the elemental remembered he could after seeing the healer do it.

Bam.. hack, slash, kapowie -- the healer takes advantage of that extremely limited, freshly rezzed mana to buy me a couple seconds, and the elemental shammy gets one spell off in sync with my Hammer of Wrath. The Black Stalker falters and falls to the floor.

The bloody ooze covered badges that we pried off of the cold corpse of that stalker were well earned. Today, I'm reminded of them when I look at my first badge purchase on that char, my Libram of Repentance. I still pull it out when I load up on low-avoidence spell damage gear to tank instances sometimes.

The most dire circumstance Ive ever faced...

April 22, 2008 - Furious Crawdads enters Mount Hyjal for the first time after downing Kael'Thas Sunstrider just two days before. We figured if we're gonna do the progression thing as a raid guild there would be no entering Hyjal until the Blood Elf was slain. And what an exciting day that first day was.

A little overexcited from our first day in a new place we successfully wipe on the first wave of mobs leading up to Rage Winterchill. Ok no problem everyone releases and runs back in. We proceed through the waves until the dreaded 1st Boss comes strolling up the ramp. We engage him...one by one people begin to drop. Some a chilly death in an ice block, and to some the plague of death and decay quickly slays them. I'm running around trying my best to avoid the carnage around me. Rage is beginning to weaken but my fellow Crawdads are falling around me. Im spamming Flash of Light & Holy Light hoping to keep my tank alive awaiting my own demise as two more healers fall to the ground. Rage is at 10% and I look at the raid list. There are only two healers left, myself and a druid. Rage to 5% the druid drops leaving me as the sole healer with 8 other members to keep alive. Im sweating and my hands are shaking as my mana pool drops below 1000 and I still have 12 seconds left on my mana pot. Rage to 1% the tank dies, and rage turns on the DPS. 2800 mana I do the best I can to keep the surviving members alive....and then Rage Winterchill falls to the ground slain by the Furious Crawdads and their last surviving healer.

Here is the picture of me after the battle: http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=195139&TabID=1648391

Reposting this from a post I made in the "Paladin News/Accomplishments Thread", a post I made on Jan 19th:

Maulgak wrote:
Also had one of the most gut-wrenching fights of my life this week, and of all bosses, it was Prince. We had a couple bad abyssal drops, and our DPS being mostly melee, were hurting pretty bad. But, we sucked it up and just healed through the best we could. After phase 2 ended we started losing DPS till we were finally at around 10% with only myself, our main healer, and 2 caster DPS left (Mage and Elemental Shaman). At roughly 8% the 2 DPS went oom, so I started letting go with everything I had, even setting fly a few Hammers of Wrath where I could find an opening. Luckily my healer was a Paladin, so he had plenty of mana, and slowly I dwindled Prince's health down with the Mage wanding and the Shaman casting as often as mana regen would allow.

That was the longest 8% of a fight ever, and I blew everything I could, but we killed him! By god, if there was ever a time to have been recording a boss fight, that would have been it. Too bad I wasn't :(

Couple other things I've done: 3 times while OTing Grull the MT has died, and I have been able to pick him up and tank him the rest of the way for a kill.

Magister's Terrace: my Paly healer and I were the only ones left standing when Kael hit phase 2, and we managed to pull off a kill.

Zul'Aman: everytime I've been there I have tanked Nalorakk in his bear form, while this Warrior tanks his Troll form. The timing couldn't have been worse as right whe nI taunted Nalorakk, he charged our Hunter, so we switched phases with Nalorakk still on the Warrior tank. Warrior bit the dust leaving me to solo tank Nalorakk a good 25% at least.

I know there have been other, "OH S!@T!!!" moments, but these are the only ones really standing out at right now :)

i have a fun one. it was a Mags night and my guild had summoned me to Hellfire. upon arriving, i read in general chat "can someone help us at broken hill? 70s camping us". being Prot spec at the time i was iching for some pvp goodness on a few undergeared hordies. however, when i got there i saw what looked like a group killing time before a heroic BF run...warrior, SP, rogue, and warlock. i couldnt help it. i threw my shield hitting 2 at the flag stand, where i was immediately charged, hammied, and dotted. so i did what any alliance player would do when trying to defend a node...i ran.

a quick bubble jump off the side and all 4 enemies were quickly down to 1/2 health. i kept consecrating the ground to keep my chasers in active combat to prevent them from flying over me. quickly the dots piled up, the charges were made...countered by cleanses and BoF. as i approached 20%, i chugged a health pot which was eaten away in a single stab to the back. stilling runing, i watched my health slowly dwindling. at this point, LoH looks so tastey. but it is uneccessary, for i am now back to full health and staring at 24 of my good friends.

the rogue vanished, the other 3...well lets just say half my raid enter Mags flagged for pvp.

as for Mags, 1 wipe cuz of bouncing in the middle of channelling a click!

Wow i thought mine was serious until reading yours mine is a cake walk.So great hearing stories of Unsurvivable Conditions!<<<<Name of my Story i'm writing.Just need a good Paladin Name.I've got most of the characters set out just the name of our hero.Everyone is a part in this.:D you all will be famous.I'm not high enough in levels to experience what you all have but i will soon enough...believe me I will.

Currently completing quests in duskwood at level 29.Were to go from there I have no idea as a Human paladin. But got to see Lethon. The dragon wich will be in my story. What other dragons are out there.Just to prove my bravery...I charged him with my hammer drawn in the moonlight.....Swinging with the power of Holy Light.A swoop from his claws into my flesh they poured, screams of anguish in the night sky they poured.Falling in my battle with one such as he...the battle was not over as you wait....watch..and see!....Basicly i died very very quickly lol but was chased by 5 nightbane's level 29 and I beat them all one by one with no mana left,no potions and about [ ] this much health.Felt it was a good victory for me.

You don't have to be in Heroics/Raids to have Heroic stories :D Some may see low level accomplishments as nothing noteworthy, but I disagree.

Case in point: the very first time I ran to Booty Bay was with my Paladin. I was level 30 at the time, and I came across a level 36 gorilla in the path. I tried not to aggro it, but I did, and instead of running I fought it. Was a HELL of a long fight, I think 15 minutes, but damnit all I wasn't running!

Given where I am posting this, I'm sure you can guess: I killed that SOB and continued on my way to Booty Bay! Sure, I was only level 30 (Ret spec), but I felt a huge sense of accomplshment at the, and given that I still remember it very well, feel it was an accomplishment now.

Another one: I had an alt Paladin that was level 37. I thought just for the hell of it I'd go to the SM - Graveyard and see how far I could get. I soloed the whole thing, including 1 of the random rare spawns, earning my a nice chest upgrade! I wasn't twinked in any way, just leveling normally. Good times :)
