I have yet to use macro's in WoW, I think I have shied away from them because of bad experiences in my MUDding years.By bad experience I refer to being stuck in a macro loop doing whatever while a mob/player/etc pounds away on you freely.

But wanting to improve my raid performance, I would like to start upping my dps by all means possible, gear and macros included.

So using one of the many scattered around the web, what is the "usual" style? I don't think one can just simply stand back and spam a hotkey/click a button because situations arise where you need to toss in a different shot very quickly (concussive or wyvern sting to stop that mob from beating on the healer for example).

I did,very briefly, use the wingclip/raptor strike macro recently, but it disapeared for some reason off my action bar (and macro menu) the very next day, and I just never got around to redoing it again.

And now while on the subject of macros, what is a good high damage rotation macro, that works in 2.4, for one such as myself? There have been countless threads in every forum on this I know, which makes it that much more confusing.

You have the same speed xbow I do so I would assume my macro would work for you.

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast !Auto Shot
/castrandom [target=pettarget, exists] Kill command
/cast Steady Shot
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1

Only reason I added the sound effects thing was because I got annoyed by the sounds that happened when I spammed it.

I would switch the lines around to steady > auto > KC, it doesnt make a huge impact but i'd rather have it trying to shoot steady first, then auto, then KC.
And add Nodead or use a second macro to prevent KC from locking the macro.
