I'm gonna go rogue but i dont know what spec? can anyone give me a insight on what each spec Assassination/Combat/Subtley does and benefits? I want to know which spec is best for dps and which is best for instant damage.

Combat for Leveling.

You have 70 levels ahead of you to figure the rest out for yourself ...

But in general:

Mutilate spec = PvP burst damage
Shadowstep = survivability and sustained PvP damage
Combat = PvE sustained and burst damage
Dagger specs outside Mutilate = dead
