I recently geared up my paladin once again.Didn't cost much. But in spec he's a holy paladin.Level 24.I have been told by sooooo many paladins that if i'm soloing i should be Ret specced. My gear revovles around a mix of Str,Stam, and Int.I have read the Ret forum. Its focused on Raiding.I'm not ready for raiding yet.I know nothing of what stats.lol i have the chainmail of the bear or something like that.Well see for yourself.Look up the name Sulvain on Armory and you'll see were i'm at.I want my paladin to be the best.Cause I so wanna help people but be able to survive unlike Priests or mages. Can someone give me a Good ret build for leveling. Then at level 70 I'll go holy or prot for raiding.:( i'm so lost and tired of leveling other classes cause i thought my palading was messed up.So just see for yourself on the amoury: Sulvain.24 Holy Paladin.Thank you all.How can I get my name to post with so people will have to just click my link to see my character.:D thanks

I've seen you post almost this exact same thing in 3 other threads, so I'll bite in hopes to contain the topic in it's rightful thread >.<

Firstly, when you look up your Armory, just copy the URL and paste it into a post here: simple as that :D If you want it to show up like the links in my sig you have to put (without using quotation marks) "[link=" then paste the URL followed by "]insert your character name here[/link]". That will show your character name as a clickable link and lead to your Armory page.

Secondly, there is no "need" to spec Ret for leveling. You've been told that so much because it is more often then not the fastest and easiest way to level. It is perfectly viable to level as Prot or even Holy, but they will generally take longer. In the end you gotta level what you want to level and how you want to level it.

That said, at level 24 I would have this as my talent build. As you level, finish out Conviction, plop a point int oCrusade, then get Sanctity Aura. Improve it, get 2H Spec, then go for Vengeance. Pick up Repentance as soon as you can, fill in teh last point of Vengeance, then get Sanctified Seals, Fanaticism, Crusader Strike. That should put you here. Finish Crusade, get Sanctified Judgement, Vindication, then move down Prot tree for Precision (some people take Redoubt, others Imp. Devotion Aura: take whichever as they won't affect you a whole lot anyway). Plug your final points into Divine Strength.

This is more or less the path I will be taking my new nooblet Paladin (rolling on a new server with some friends) and is in no way the only way to put your points. If others have a way they think is better, feel free to post it :)

Hope that helped you with your Paly.

try getting rid of the space between link=http... it looks right otherwise though. and i would mostly agree with Maulgak about where to put your points. only think i might add is is to put 3 points in Puruit of Justice (or whatever the one is to run faster - i can't remember and i'm not at my computer). as your leveling this will help you get from place to place faster which will help you do quests a little faster. and he's right. you can level how you want. my first character i leveled as holy. my second pally as ret. both made it to 70. my ret made it there about twice as fast, but end result for both was level 70 and a rep among people who knew me for being good at what the toon was built for because i had the practice.

as for gear, if you level as ret, get the str/stam and str/agi gear (tiger and monkey i think - might be wrong) and if you want to heal some instances hold onto any eagle gear you get for that. if you level holy get eagle gear for healing and still get str/stam gear for solo'ing. if you go holy for leveing definitely still get benediction from ret. thats a must have for solo'ing no matter what spec you level as.

np Soul. I think my comment sounded harsher then I meant :) Glad to help though, and yw.

Tool, Pursuit of Justice is in the first build I linked, the one for level 24. When I read your post, I thought, "OMG, did I seriously forget PoJ??? AMAZING LEVELING TALENT!!!" Don't freak me out like that, LOL!

Through, you weren't at your computer, so I guess I can forgive the oversight ;)

Currently level 28 and I solo'd The test of Righteousness quest for that hammer. Its awsome with Impact enchant.I can't wait to start raiding.I also solo'd Shadowfang keep at level 26.Kinda hard but took it slowly.:D got some good stuff to sell but i purchased a level 30 upgrade in equipment now broke. And for the build. That is currently what i'm working on.When i'm level 70.I'm going to respec into protection.and keep a healing set aside incase they need a healer :D Paladin is the most important class i think cause we fill all rolls. And when the smoke is cleared and the battle is done, we paladins will shine in the sun.Knights of light,Defenders of the weak...no challenge to small as the danger we seek.<<<<<sorry i like to write :D currently going to write a story about a Wow based Paladin. And tool of Jesus I currently have your prot build saved to my fav's.Going to respec at higher levels.:D I feel prot is great for surviving even the most unsurvivable conditions. Thanks fellow Paladin's.

lol, sorry maulgak, didn't mean to scare you there. i couldn't check the build so i didn't realize it was put in there... glad we're on the same page as far as leveling lol. i should probably go back and put a section in the ret guide about level'ing as ret. i think i meant to do that at one point. i need to go back and make sure everything is still accurate after the changes in 2.4.
