Looking around for a thread that covers this and though I was sure one exists, can't find it. Sorry if I'm asking a dumb question but:

I was planning on Cat's Swiftness for my new boots but now I waver. So, advice for a purely PvE heroic/t4-5 raider?

Cat's Swiftness / Surefooted / + Agi

Thanks in advance for any help! Happy sapping.

Some thread on EJ proved that Cats Swiftness > 12 agility in any fight where you're off the target for more than two seconds every minute. And surefooted is just kinda meh against both of them.

Movement speed in helm enchant.

Then you can get Surefooted.

For PvP, 5% snare and root resist is golden. And 10 hit is hard to replace.

This is for PvE.

Gems and enchants for PvE:

Gems:

Meta: Relentless Earthstorm Diamond (12 Agi/3% crit dmg)
Red: Agi/Hit (4/4 at blue level, 5/5 at epic)
Yellow: Hit (8 at blue level, 10 at epic)
Blue: 2x Agi/Stam (4/6 at blue level, 5/7 at epic) to activate RED

Basically you should only gem red gems when you want a socket bonus, and you should only gem two blue gems in your gear to activate your meta.

Enchants:

Head: CE
Shoulder: Exalted Aldor/Scyer (Aldor is better)
Cloak: 12 Agi
Chest: 6 Stats
Bracer: 24 AP
Glove: 15 Agi
Legs: 50 AP/12 crit
Boots: 12 Agi

Weapons: Mongoose, ALWAYS.

Hope that helps.

Edit: Cat's is debatable IMO. For how much movement we do, it may be worth it, but for anything lower than the Tabi boots on Shadowpanther, I'd go with 12 Agi as it's way cheaper.

Thank you :) I also had a question on this as well.

Plus I just gemmed my badge chest (tunic of dark hour) Red with 16 AP, like a dunce. Think it's worth spending another 15 badges on 5agi/5hit gem?

If you're not lacking on stamina, and not hit capped, I'd put a 10-hit rating gem in it.

Not hit capped - at 306 w/ food buff...and sitting around 10k health raid buffed, so I'll go with +10 hit then...and save my badges.

Everyone always says the 15agi on gloves over the +attack. Is it that much better?

Yes. With Kings, you get 17 AP and almost .5 crit, versus 26 AP with just the AP chant.

Thanks for all the response!

Theo's above post should be added to the sticky FAQ. I think the forum answers those gear questions often enough. ;P

After last nights Kara (round 1) run I'm leaning toward Cat's. My main group tends to move quickly and a few agi is worth it for the speed increase (being full combat). And I'm looking forward to running around a bit faster in Mags this weekend. But, for the record, the raw numbers are definitely in favor of 12 agi, if only slightly.

Thanks again all.

Yeah, I'll be putting Cat's on the next pair of boots I get (hopefully from Shahraz /glee). It really does help in fights like Supremus.

Also helps running back to get ready for your next attempt on progression nights. Smiley: tongue

Grats on getting invited to a progressed BT guild ...

I guess.

I'm at 215 hit 1850 AP and only 27% crit in my PvE gear. I don't think anyone will take me :O

I actually didn't get invited; I've been in this guild pretty much since I hit 70 on my rogue as a "friends and family" member, and did runs when they needed DPS to get gear.

I asked one of the officers who has been bugging me to go raider if the offer was still open; it appears that the guild leadership is of the opinion that I can be one of the top 4 DPS in the guild (next to my brother, who is a feral druid, one of the officers, a warrior, and a lock) given proper gear.

With the DPS in my guild, though, it's not hard. It's really just learning the fights that screws me.
