Trap breaking with Auto-shoot & Q about macro.Follow

#1 Apr 24 2008 at 11:14 AM Rating: Decent
Hey,

Im lvl 57hunter myself, and now I was reading in the forums that auto-shoot will break a trap. Do they mean that if you shoot someone with auto-shoot while its trapped, he gets untrapped? Sounds unlogical to me, as they get untrapped too after Arcane shot or anything.. So what do they mean?

And I got a Question about macro's.
Ive read many forums/FAQ's about making macro's, but I just cant o.O.
Can someone please give me macro for (if it is just possible):
Hunters mark-Concussive shot-Arcane shot And then just repeat Arcane shot..... And ofcourse meanwhile Auto-shoot.

Tx :)

If any damage happens to the trapped mob, even from AoE, or DoTs, it will break the trap.

Yes, but why do they always complain about auto-shoot trap break then? Other dmg breaks it too

Because if you have auto shoot on..... it automatically shoots it. You have to physically push the arcane shot button.

so lets say you drop a trap, shoot a mob, he runs into trap, that isnt gonna stop your auto shot from shooting, its going to whether hes trapped or not.

Learn to hit escape.

Or click on a party member's avatar to deselect the mob you've been shooting.
Sometimes I'll turn around and face away from the mob in order to give myself extra time to deselect the mob as my target.

Or really, just hit escape. Tab works too, so long as you tab onto another mob that isn't being CCed, or a mob that you plain old haven't pulled yet. One of my first hunter mistakes was to do this. So, don't use tab. : )

Hit escape, or have the "shoot" or "attack" button on your bar and hit that to stop attacking.

I'm on a Mac. Hitting escape brings up my preferences / quit menu. Ergo, I don't do it that way. :p
