Ok at this point my guild clears Kara, Gruul, and the first boss of ZA

Other than Vindicator's belt and feet, and the shoulders from the first ZA boss is there any piece of gear that i have overlooked that would be an upgrade for me?
(i can't get the damn shoulders to drop)

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Blade%27s+Edge&n=Greengimp

Keep in mind i don't have access to content past Gruul atm.

Your gear seems excellent for where you're at.

The only thing that I notice is that you're not hit capped at the moment. You also seem to be sporting some PvP gear. (Please keep in mind there is NOTHING wrong with this, I'm simply pointing out that maybe your PvE gear with hit is not on when I'm viewing your armory) Irregardless, I know you don't have acess to post-Gruul's raids, but there are some BoE epics that can be crafted from SSC/TK that would be upgrades for you.

There are a bunch of belts such as the Belt of Deep Shadow and Belt of the Black Eagle which would be rather large upgrades for you. (Over vindicator's) These do require Nether Vortices, which range anywhere from 150-200g on my server. (Milage may vary).

For right now, I'd suggest that you'd go with the Belt of Deep Shadow, simply because it has +hit on it. If you could, I'd also suggest that you'd replace some of your gems with +hit gems.

I know replacing crit gems with +hit gems might seem detrimental to your overall DPS, but being hit capped is crucial.

Good luck with your gear!

The trinket from Opera that gives +30 hit would be good for you now to get you almost at hitcap. (once you dont need it for hitcap anymore hourglass is better)
Replace the orange gem in your legs with +4 agi, +4 hit.

Those 2 changes would get you to hitcap and improve your stats a bit.

edit: ofcourse, you can always push your guild to venture into SSC and TK to get the "free kills" Solarion, Lurker and VR.
Really, especially Solarion is a free kill if your guildies understand that once they get a skull above their head and they are shooting lightning they've got to run out of the pack NOW.
The trash to get to Solarion and VR is harder than the actual boss.
Lurker trash isnt that hard, but neither is he (dive in the water at spout, know when not to heal and how to CC a mob, that is all)

That would open up VR legs, T5 shoulders and the boots from Sol.
Also, you can likely kill Maggy too, he's a complete wuss now.
Wich in turns gives you the option to get the rather sweet questring from Mag's head :)

Ok so i had the Belt of black eagle made and i have done a full regemming.

I now i have 116 hit, with the shoulders of primal fury once i get them to drop i'll be sitting at 136 hit which i think should be good enough til we get out of gruuls.

don't forget if you're with a draenei who give heroic presence hit cap is 1% lower.

Sorry to piggy back your post green but this is a similar question,
I too am at the pre SSC/TK stage (not quite as well geared as green)and i have started changing AP gems for AGI, having read this post and looked at greengimp's set up I now realise how poor my crit and hit rating are. Could someone tell me which i should prioritise first, hit or crit??

Thanks for any advice

Hit.

To the OP, nice work on getting your hit up. You could make up most of the rest of it with Spicy Talbuk food, if you don't have access to more pieces with hit rating. Another option is the Biznick's Accurascope, but make sure you know an engineer who can make it before you look around for the mats (Lava Cores are uncommon but getable; thankfully Arcanite Bars are no longer on the transmute cooldown).

Considering the food option, and that you already have a crit scope on there, save your money and get hit rating food.

Hit. You're at 70, and you need 79 to not miss trash and 142 for Bosses.

I'm curious. You've bought the very nice BoJ ring, but you're still using the Sunfury bow. Why did you spend your BoJ before picking up the CoRS?

Kompera, i have to admit the honest answer is i was impatient. Like a kid in a toy shop lol. But im up to 75 badges again and i will have the willpower to wait for the crossbow this time. Would i be right in presuming the eternium scope is the best one to equip when i get the crossbow?
BTW Thanks for the advice

He's an orc.

And even Alliance should never count on having a Heroic Presence Draenei in the group- much less one that will stay close enough to you to give the buff 100% of the time.

Yes, the crit scope applies to all of your shots. The +damage scopes only apply to Auto Shot.

If you can clear Kara each week and run a few Heroics, BoJ do come fast. But 150 is still a large pile of them... :) I bought the CoRS and I'm now saving for some other purchase. Dunno what, yet. The ring is sweet, but so are the Gauntlets of Rapidity. And I could easily use a handful of Epic gems...

I use it all the time, and found it intersting that you used it here. Are you from New England?

Irregardless is a double negative and is potentially not a 'real' word.

Interestingly enough, I tend to use it a bunch too. I'm not sure where exactly I picked it up though. (And I'm not from New England ^^v)

Anyways, Greengimp, your gear is rather good right now. I love how your hit has been raised so much. Your armory is showing you at 129, a *substantial* improvement. Just a side note, though, (And I know I'm sort of pounding this subject to death here) but even at the Gruul's level, you want to be hit capped. I'd suggest trying to pick up the Vengeful Chestpiece, as that adds a good chunk of hit.

Colarbear, you too need to work more on your hit. The armory is showing you at 82, which means you have a loooooong way to go. I'd suggest picking up the Vengeful Axe and Chestpiece. Also, downgrading your neckpiece to either the badge one or the Worgen's Claw Necklace may be good. (As they both have hit if I remember correctly) Keep working on getting the new parrotbow, it's really good.

Also, just throwing this out there:

There is *nothing* wrong with wearing leather. Arguably, since we can wear leather we ought to, but for specific circumstances, (Especially for boosting hit) leather can be better than mail.

Good luck guys! (And/or gals?)

I think you're down to epic gems. 15 BoJ each, and by your neck piece I know you can buy them from the smith. :)

You look awesome. I'm shy some BoJ for the chestpiece and then a swap out of Spinels for Rubys. Grinding Kara and ZA every week if at all possible...

Really, with your gear level you're fit for the rest of ZA and any T5 content. You've kicked it into gear, drag your Guild along with you! :)
