Shadoweave GearFollow

I have some pretty good gear, I think:

Good stat bonuses. But I'm reading that shadow/spell damage is becoming more important as I level higher.

Should I start buying Shadoweave Gear for PvE and instances? I'm trying to level quickly here...

The Shadoweave gear is great for a Warlock at that level. Pick as much of it up as you can =)

dont worry about it too much. You said it yourself, you want to level quickly...that means any gear you buy will be replaced soon. Especially with the new xp requirements to level.

I just took my hunter to the outlands with a level 20 neck and 3 other level 30's gear pieces. The main objective is to get to the outlands THEN start worrying about gear.

I've checked the AH. Got some Shadow Silk cheap, and can get the rest of the mats with some more ZF runs.

Got the mats and found a tailor to make them. Very cost-effective.

Is there an add-on I can get to see how much damage I'm outputting and compare? I'm already keeping the Embalmed Shroudhttp://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=7691;source=live, because of the better stats than the Shadoweave Maskhttp://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=10025;source=live.

Now, I just need a cloak, bracer and belt upgrade!!!

Is there any particular reason why I can never find the robe or boots on the AH? I don't really care about the boots, but I would really like to get the robe. Always the other four pieces so I'm sure I'm missing some obvious reason. Is there an easy to get chest piece that is superior?

Just find a tailor to make it for you. I got all the gear, put the mana restore prime on the chest (cheap enchant!) and am going to grind for a while and check damage differences...

Because there's no profit in it mostly, and it's not an item one would make for leveling Tailoring. Usually you're going to have to find a Tailor to make it for you.

Leveling warlocks are not very gear dependent. I never once worried about my gear as I leveled, I bought a few things of the AH maybe every 15-20 levels or so. Also, this was before they make 10-60 easy-mode.

So far I've done a little questing/grinding in Tanaris (great place to Fear DOT) and it is fun! Haven't done a gear comparison yet, as I'm quickly filling the XP bar...

I returned to WoW with a very good friend of mine who is playing a shadow priest. After looking over our abilities we decided that the 40-49 bracket is a bit of a sweet spot for us to stop and farm some BG tokens. Until now I've also only worn quest rewards, but now that I'll have time to enjoy better gear all the shadow damage was too much to ignore!

To revisit the reason I posted originally, I was able to find a tailor to help with a robe. They happened to be a 70 warlock and were kind enough to mention they had saved the mats for the epic dreadstead!

I agree, the 40-49 bracket is great for us. I was wearing a robe that was pretty much priest gear(+healing and mp/5) and still owned in BGs, ran flags in WSG sometimes and held nodes by myself in AB, in gear that was at least 5-10 levels out of date and priest robes. Honestly, pre-60, gear hardly matters at all anymore. Yeah, you'll have problems with twinks, but who twinks at 49?

Warlocks :D

I remember my days of running in all shadoweave gear including questing to get the mask pattern. I never ran BG's till much later, but mobs would definitely go down fast with the gear.

Using Fear DoT tactics and using my mana battery, I'm mopping the floor with questing.

Now I'm tempted to run some BGs. Damn!

I have a loc that is 42 with Tailoring 262 and can make all the shadowweave gear, I have all but the boots as they require lvl 46 to use and the damage boost is through the roof.
