I was wondering, quite simply if Shadowform+inner focus +shadowword death is possible?
If you're asking if you can use your inner focus charge to use shadow form or shadow word death then the answer is yes. However if you're looking to maximize it then you'd be better off making a macro to either shadow word pain or mindblast.

The only two things you should use Inner Focus with is SWP, or Devouring Plague, in group situations. The small damage bonus putting it with Mind Blast isn't worth it compared to the mana you can save on a SWP, or the damage increase you can get from Plague.
If you're solo, you'd be best using it either on SWP just after VT (for mana saved), or on VT if you follow up with Mind Blast (that way you get an extra 1.5sec outside the 5SR).

thank you for the answers. The reason I was thinking about using inner focus with Shadow word: death is for the +crit, combined with the +15% crit on PW:D, and in a pvp Scenario. My own kind of...execute?

In that case, if you can get it off, you'd be better tying it to Mind Blast. It's not instant, but it's more damage, more mana saved, and no chance of accidentally whacking yourself for 3000 when someone gets a flash heal off on them. Instead of using just Death as an Execute, use IF'd Blast + Death right in a row.

Most players will advocate putting Inner Focus in front of your high mana-cost abilities, but I find it to be situational.
Are you running OOM on the encounters in a given instance or raid? Then yes, use Inner Focus in front of your most costly casts.
Are you finishing the pulls with half of your mana bar remaining? Then by all means, use Inner Focus in conjunction with Mind Blast or SW:Death to increase your crit chance, and hence, your DPS and mana return to everyone in your group.
