I've been a SV hunter for a long time now (loving every second of it, btw), but my guild has asked me to respec to BM for Gruul's. I have no problem with doing that at all, but I've been SV for so long, I really don't remember a lot of what is optimal for the BM spec!

I'd like some advice on how to respec, any gem changes, etc. Also, what are the numbers I should be aiming for as far as Agi, AP, etc.? I've been building up my hit rating in preparation for the switch (from 96 to 139), so if you're wondering why a SV hunter has that high of a hit rating, that's why! ;)
I was also curious if people like the BM/MM setup or the BM/SV setup better for raiding at this point in the game. I haven't been in Gruul's yet (or obviously anything above it), so I don't know how much CC is needed, or if it's mostly about DPS at that point.
And, as always, I am looking for sincere advice from people who are much smarter and better at this than I am. Any remarks like "LTP Noob", or the like are not needed or wanted.

BM/SV is NOT for raiding, NEVER.
Though I wouldnt know why your guild wants you to go BM... unless you have 2 SV hunters.
SV hunters only get really good in 25 mans.
Counting 1k agility raidbuffed and 3 hunters + 2 rogues + 1 dps war + 1 enh. shaman + 1 retadin = ~625 additional raid dps from EW not counting tanks.
That would be trading 625 raid dps for ~200-300 personal dps, wich in my opinion isnt worth it, especially in a dps race like gruul.
This is based on testing and theorycrafting from EJ that concluded that rogues get ~0.3-0.4 dps per point of AP and other physical dps get ~0.3 dps per point of AP.
The 3 hunters (2x BM, 1x SV) 2 rogues, arms warrior, enh. shaman and retribution paladin is what I expect in a well balanced and synergized raid.
(grouping the rogues, enh sham, war and retadin in 1 group, the 3 hunters with a feral druid and resto shaman)
Aside from that rant, you'll be fine :)

I'm going to assume you meant it IS worth it? :p
There are two raid specs: 41/20, OR 33+ in Survival (0/25/36, 0/20/41, 5/20/36, 7/20/34, etc). Anything else is not a raid spec.
Beyond Kara and ZA, you never CC again. Except the rare Frost Trap to slow down lots of little mobs. What freezing traps are used will be used as a last resort and expected to break early anywho.
@Isfreak: I see how that quote is confusing, but Aethien said it right. You are just... reading it backwards.
Most of this forum will agree with what was just said, so try and convince your guild leader to let you stay SV, since your raid will gain a LOT more dps from it.
