I have read the Pre-Raid Gear post and had my gear set out. But recently I got a shoulder drop while grinding, and was wondering how it stands up to the other pre-raid gear.

The shoulders are The Dreamer's Shoulderpads (http://thottbot.com/i31190).

(Sorry I don't know how to link with allakhazam, where you can do the cool little popup thing. XD)

Comparing them to the beastlord shoulders gemmed with +8 agi and +8 hit:
DS --- BL
21 agi 33
16 sta 04
12 int 12
00 AP. 34
00 hit 08
00 Mp5 05

Thats 12 agi, 34 Ap, 8 hitrating and 5 Mp5 vs 12 stamina.
I thinks its pretty obvious ;)

It looks like that item is meant for a Druid.
Any item that spends that much of it's stat budget on Strength and Spirit is not very worthwhile to a hunter.
I use and recommend the Beast Lord Shoulders. I just wish the Beast Lord Leggings would drop off the *******. They both drop off the same boss, but i have seen the shoulders 3 times, and the leggings zero times.

I know a guy who got both drops on the same run... And he was wearing Sonic Spear when he was only 70 for a few hours... Can you believe the luck of some people?

But yeah. The Dreamer's Shoulderpads are meant for druids.
